He benefits from the net worth of Ben Affleck which is estimated to be over $130 million, while his mother, on the other hand, has a net worth estimated to be over $60 million.
Parents’ Relationship
Before beginning their relationship, Ben and Jennifer had various high profile romantic associations. Affleck was previously in relationships with actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez. Garner had relationships with Scott Foley and “Alias” co-star Michael Vartan. The two first met on the set of “Pearl Harbor” in 2001, but it wasn’t until two years later when filming “Daredevil” that they became increasingly interested in one another.
After dating for two years, in 2005 the couple had a private wedding ceremony held in Turks and Caicos Islands – actor Victor Garber who officiated the wedding and his husband were the only ones in attendance. Despite enjoying the highs of their careers the couple preferred to keep such things away from the media. They didn’t mind that they were being followed by paparazzi, and the questions that came with their relationship, but that changed when their first child, their daughter Violet Anne was born in 2005. Following an encounter with the paparazzi, he issued a warning that they should stay away, or at the very least blur the faces of their children.
Early Life and Parents’ Divorce
Affleck and Garner had another child, daughter Seraphina in 2009, and three years later, she announced that she was pregnant once more – he had expressed his desire to have a son and it was as he wished, with Samuel entering the world in 2012. Their relationship was fine for the next three years, though tensions eventually increased. Affleck was suffering heavily with an addiction to alcoholism, and their acting work was also starting to take a toll on their relationship.
In 2015, the couple announced that they were separating though they remained living within the same home, in a guest house so that the couple could still co-parent their children.
The media spotted the family spending time together, going to beaches, having dinners, and doing many normal activities, and for some time, it was rumored that the couple was giving things another chance. However, in 2017 Affleck left the family home and the couple then filed for divorce, which was finalized a year later after a lengthy custody battle; they sought joint legal and physical custody of their children. Despite their divorce, Affleck has iterated that Garner remains the most important person in his life.
Father – Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck began his acting career as a child, appearing in the series “The Voyage of the Mimi” in the late 1980s.
In 1995, he gained several notable roles as a teenager, in projects such as “Dazed and Confused”, “Mallrats”, and “Chasing Amy”. In 1997 he worked on the film “Good Will Hunting” alongside childhood friend Matt Damon, with the duo winning an Academy Award as both of them worked on the film’s screenplay.
In 1998, he then established himself as a leading male in “Armageddon”, which later led to roles in “Pearl Harbor” and “The Sum of All Fears”. The early-2000s saw a bit of a downturn in his career, with poor reviews for films such as “Gigli” and “Daredevil”.
He later returned with more hits such as “Hollywoodland” and his directorial debut “Gone Baby Gone”. In 2012, he won Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Awards for his film “Argo”. He also starred in “Gone Girl”, and held the role of Batman for films such as “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” along with its follow-up “Justice League”.
Mother – Jennifer Garner
After a supporting role in “Pearl Harbor”, Jennifer gained a lot of recognition for her starring role in the ABC series “Alias”, in which he played the lead female character, CIA officer Sydney Bristow. For her work in the show, she won numerous awards including a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild.
In 2004, she started transitioning to mainstream film work, with a role in “13 on 30”, before portraying the Marvel character Elektra in “Daredevil” and 2005’s “Elektra”.
Other successful projects she’s had over the years include “Juno” and “The Invention of Lying”. In 2013, she worked on the Academy Award-winning film, “Dallas Buyers Club”, alongside Matthew McConaughey who portrayed an AIDS patient during the mid-1980s. She showed her versatility with projects such as “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” and “Miracles from Heaven”. One of her latest projects is the action film “Peppermint”, which saw her return to her action roots.
Apart from acting, she is also active with charitable endeavors, and is a board member of Save the Children. She is an advocate for early childhood education, and like her former husband, is against paparazzi directing their attention towards children of celebrities.
