The Net Worth of Linda Holliday
As of mid-2020, Linda Holliday’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through success in her various endeavors. She’s opened businesses, appeared in beauty pageants, and worked on television, closely tied to the Patriots.
She probably benefits from the success of her partner as the two have been together for over a decade, and Belichick has a net worth reputedly over $35 million.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
At a young age Linda became interested in pursuing a career in the field of medicine. She set her sights on it, and pursued it after matriculating from high school. She enrolled at Vanderbilt University, a private university located in Nashville, Tennessee, known for its prestigious research centers and its large medical program. During her time there, she studied radiology, the practice of medical imaging to help with the diagnosis of diseases.
However, things turned in a different direction for her while in college, as her attractiveness motivated her to participate in beauty contests. She won several and seemed set on a path to entertainment due to her success, and thought of becoming a model or an on-camera personality such as a host. She competed in the Miss Arkansas pageant twice, and reached the runner-up position both times. However, she struggled to make a transition into the fashion world as a model, despite her background.
Business and Philanthropy
Following a failed effort to get into fashion, Holliday pursued other endeavors which led her to business.
Wanting to stay within the same realm, in 2005 she created the clothing store Blue Indigo Boutique. The store fared well for a few years, but was eventually shut down in 2009 due to waning sales. She was also finding less time to take care of the store as she had become busy with her projects with Belichick.
After she started dating him, her public popularity grew, fueled by her beauty and her ability to show a softer side to Belichick. Her association with him led her to become the host of the program “Style Boston”, a magazine-type program with a focus on lifestyle. She focused on life in New England, and covered a bit about the Patriots as she had access to the team.
She also started to gain fame online, as she posted more about her life alongside the American Football coach. The two launched The Bill Belichick Foundation which was created to help underprivileged individuals who showcase talents for coaching and playing American Football.
Partner – Bill Belichick
Bill grew up in Annapolis, Maryland as a part of a family that loved American Football. His father coached at the US Naval Academy, and he learned a lot from his father growing up. He joined his father as he coached the team, and broke down important details of recorded games in the academy. He attended Annapolis High School where he played with his local American Football team. while also being a member of the lacrosse team.
After matriculating, he attended Phillips Academy for a year to allow him to gain entry into a more prestigious school, so then he enrolled at Wesleyan University, and continued his career as a player while completing a degree in economics.
After graduation, he quickly entered the NFL as he took a support position as an assistant to Ted Marchibroda, who at the time was coaching the Baltimore Colts. After a year with the team, he moved to the Detroit Lions where he was an assistant special teams coach, but within a year he gained more responsibilities and moved to the Denver Broncos in the position as a defensive assistant.
This would then lead him to his first head major long-term position as the special teams coach of the New York Giants. He would rise in the ranks to become the defensive co-ordinator, and was responsible for helping the Giants win two Super Bowls during his tenure.
The Success of Bill Belichick
Following Bill’s success with the New York Giants, he was hired by the Cleveland Browns in 1991 as their head coach, where he worked for five seasons though he had a mostly unsuccessful run with them, only helping the team reach the play-offs in one season.
He was fired and he returned to New England where he became the assistant head coach for the Patriots, helping the team get to Super Bowl XXXI, but they lost against the Green Bay Packers.
He later moved to the New York Jets as head coach, though it was short-lived as he resigned after he was offered the head coaching job with the Patriots in 2000. He has remained the head coach of the Patriots since then, and has guided them to win numerous titles, including nine Super Bowl appearances, winning six of them. He is the longest-tenured head coach who is still active in the NFL, and holds the record for play-off coaching wins.
Personal Life
Before meeting Bill, Linda had been married three times, firstly to Dennis Hess and she has two children from that marriage. After their divorce, she married Vaughn Corder, and her last marriage was to Eugene Holliday from whom she took his last name; none of these marriages ended well. She met Belichick in 2007 and the two began dating – he had also been through a divorce. They have been together for at least 13 years, but show no indication that they plan to marry, likely due to their bad past experiences.
