With a strong appreciation for jewelry, yet fascinated by the process of handcrafting, after completing her secondary education, Morgana began attending jewelry crafting lessons. At the age of 20 she enrolled at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, where she learned advanced crafting techniques as well as working with precious metals. Career
Morgana’s first business endeavor dates back to 2007, when alongside her sister Marina she opened a jewelry store.
However, due to the global financial crisis also referred to as the Great Recession that shook the world between late 2007 and 2009, she was forced to shut it down not long after. She then dived into the fashion industry where she worked as a model.
In 2011, Morgana served as a costume assistant for the thriller horror movie “Isolation”, while later that year she made her debut on-screen as well as behind-the-camera appearance – she produced and appeared in one of the leading roles in the short crime horror film entitled “187: The McKenna Murders”.
In 2012, combining her modeling experience with her sense of fashion, and using her own ‘unconventional’ jewelry crafting methods, Morgana launched her own brand of unique jewelry pieces named Maison de Morgana, located in Los Angeles, California. Her first collection – Black Magik 2012 – was based on mythological foundations, being inspired by the motion pictures covering mythical topics such as legends about King Arthur and Dracula, with a dash of influence from ancient Egypt and the Ottoman Empire.
It consisted of ‘haute noir’ pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, ring and earrings made of white bronze and brass. Influenced by renowned designers, namely Alexander McQueen and Riccardo Tisci, Morgana’s collection quickly attracted customers, including several celebrities such as Zac Efron and Winona Ryder, to name just two.
The unique aesthetics of her pieces caught the eye of the production crew of the FX’s television crime drama series “Sons of Anarchy”, so shortly after her jewelry became featured in the series, worn by members of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle gang.
In 2013, she created the BC Armor Collection for the Boot Campaign charitable organization. Inspired by WWII and in honor of her grandfather who was a member of the US Air Force, as well as all the fallen American military, it aimed to help to promote patriotism and raise awareness. It featured the star as one of America’s most widely recognized patriotic symbols, consisting of bracelets and necklaces produced using white bronze, brass and sterling silver. All sale revenues from this project were guided towards helping war veterans and their family members.
