Early life and education

Robin was raised in Lombard alongside her older sister, by their mother who was a theatre actress, and their father who was a taxi driver. Her sister has become a nurse and is working at a hospital in Lombard.

Robin had a rather normal childhood, with some of her main interests during her teenage years being dancing and dreaming about becoming a famous model one day. To fill her spare time with activities, Robin played badminton, and practiced her acting skills with her high school’s drama club, while she also occasionally played soccer with her male friends. She matriculated in 2001, and then enrolled at Greenville College from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 2006. She continued her education, attending Aurora University from which she graduated with a Master’s degree in social work in 2009.

Career as an actress and other jobs

In 2010, Robin voiced the G.P..S character in an episode of the short comedy series “Ask That Guy with the Glasses”, created by her husband who also starred in it, and in 2012 she voiced G.P.S. in another episode. She has received special thanks for eight episodes of her husband’s comedy talk show “Nostalgia Critic”, as well as for her husband’s three and a half hour long action adventure comedy movie “To Boldly Flee”.

In 2006 after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Robin became the Jr. High Director of the River Glen Presbyterian Church, where she stayed for nearly three years before joining the Krejci Academy at Little Friends, serving as their one-to-one classroom aide.

In May 2010, she became the quest program intern at Warrenville Youth and Family Services, teaching education classes for at-risk students, then in September 2011 became a therapist and family support worker intern at The Branch Family Institute – she simultaneously worked as a sales associate at Bath and Body Works.

She joined Talbots I in July 2012, where she stayed for a year as a sales associate, before in August 2013 joining Memory Training Centers of America as their clinician. From August 2015 to November 2016, she served as the Outreach Support Specialist at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, and as of December 2016, has been working as an adoption support and preservation therapist at Metropolitan family services.

Love life and marriage with Doug

Robin and Doug Walker met at a charity event in 2009, and Doug asked her out on a date a month later after they met again at another charity event. They dated and worked together on Doug’s videos for around three years, before marrying on 15 June 2012 in a private ceremony, attended by only a couple of their closest friends and family. Robin and Doug have agreed not to rush having children as they both want to focus on their careers, while some people believe that they aren’t interested in having children at all.
