Kay is of Polish descent, and grew up learning the language as it was often spoken at home. At a young age she developed an interest in sports, and would come to love American Football as he often watched it with her family. She became a big fan of the NFL team, the Chicago Bears, and aspired to have a career involved in the sport.
While she couldn’t be an athlete directly, there were many avenues to pursue to gain a profession with the popular sport. She grew up alongside two siblings who are also sports fans, and after matriculating from high school, she enrolled at Dartmouth College to earn a bachelor’s degree. While she hasn’t specified her educational achievements, she likely took a course in the broadcast journalism field. Dartmouth is a part of the prestigious Ivy League, a group of private universities considered among the top universities in the world. The school is also one of the earliest to be founded in the US, established in 1769.
Career Beginnings
After completing her degree, she quickly became involved in the sports world, but first went to professional baseball, working with a broadcast team that covered Major League Baseball (MLB), specifically for the St. Louis Cardinals. She often appeared at the team’s home games and was an in-game host. The team is based in Missouri and has been an active part of MLB since the 1880s, holding the record for third-most pennants within the National League (NL). The Cardinals are among the most valued MLB clubs in the league, with Forbes reporting their value at $1.9 billion.
Following her work there, Adams continued to show a desire for working in broadcasts of American Football. She first made her way to the sport through fantasy football shows, as a part of the several SiriusXM shows. Fantasy football is an online game played by sports enthusiasts, as they draft a fantasy team consisting of notable players from across the NFL. They then face against other players in a league, with players who perform the most in their statistics helping them win a round, leading up to play-offs by the end of each season.
Rise to Prominence
The shows that Kay was a part of include “Fantasy Drive” and “Livin’ the Fantasy”. Sirius XM is known for providing both online radio and satellite radio services which give them a national reach, even extending to Canada. Her passion and expertise would prove highly beneficial for her career, and she was offered more positions, becoming a part of another fantasy show – “Fantasy Zone” – which aired on DirecTV, a satellite television service provider in the US. While working for these shows, she gained fame thanks to her attractive looks as well.
Her popularity grew to the point that she was invited to become a guest in an episode of the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”. As the name denotes, the show is hosted by Craig Ferguson who ran the “Late Late” franchise from 2005 to 2014, before his duties were eventually taken over by James Corden. In 2016, Adams gained her biggest role so far, as she was hired by the NFL Network to become a host for one of their programs. Since joining the network, she has hosted special events for the teams, though they have less coverage.
Two years after working on “Good Morning Football”, she was also offered a contract with the subscription streaming service DAZN, which offers various sports programs on demand.
