Ashley was raised in several locations around the US, a direct effect of being bornto in a military family. Her father is an army man, who worked in Los Angeles, California and Fayetteville, North Carolina among other places always taking his family with him. Ashley has a younger sister who is also a model.

Ashley attended three high schools in three different states, and was physically active while studying, as she played soccer and was a cheerleader at two of these schools.
