Childhood and education
Katy was raised in the USA alongside her siblings by their father who was a high school football coach, and mother who was a homemaker.
Katy became interested in sports at a very early age and started playing soccer while attending elementary school. After enrolling at high school, she took on running track and playing volleyball. She was also interested in various other things, as she practiced acting with the school’s drama club and also tried singing and dancing. Upon matriculation, Katy enrolled at Elmhurst College from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 (this would make her birth year 1981) – she continued her education at Troy University, from which she graduated with a Master’s degree in instructional technology.
Katy’s career
After her Master’s degree, Katy joined Fulton County Public School as a teacher, and spent three years there before becoming a fitness instructor. During her time at Fulton County, Katy worked out in the gym four to five times per week, and also studied to pass her tests and become a certified fitness instructor.
Katy together with the popular baseball player Marlon Byrd, went on to open the Thousand Oaks Gym in California; as of today, Katy is working at Flywheel Sports as an instructor, and is also working at a cycle bar as a senior master instructor.

Love life and marriage with Shannon Sharpe
It was widely believed that Katy was married to Shannon Sharpe, however, these rumors turned out to be untrue. It was in 2016 that rumors started spreading around the internet that Shannon and Katy were engaged but this hasn’t been confirmed.
The two met in 2013 at Thousand Oaks Gym, and dated for the following five years, moving in together around a year into the relationship. It was revealed in 2018 that Katy was pregnant, however, it was to Marlon Byrd – she and Shannon were no longer seen together in public, and in December that year, Katy gave birth to her and Marlon’s son Jaden Charles Byrd.
As of November 2020, Katy is rumored to be married to Marlon Byrd, and has a son with him.

The case quickly turned against Michelle, who was then accused of making-up everything to take money from Shannon.
