Early life and education
Major is being raised alongside his brother and sister in the US by their mother Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle who is a singer and a member of the female R&B vocal quintet Xscape. His parents married on 30 July 2010 in a private ceremony, but in December 2016, Tameka filed for divorce claiming T.I. had cheated on her on multiple occasions; however, the divorce hasn’t been finalized and T.I. and Tameka have been working on fixing things between them.
Major also has two half-brothers from his father’s relationship with Lashon Dixon, and a half-sister from his father’s relationship with the singer Ms. Niko.
Major is currently attending elementary school, and has shown interest in both acting and singing, while his father says that he’ll allow him to choose what he wants to do in life, but will encourage him to pursue a college degree.
Hobbies and other interests
Major is playing football at his school, while he’s also tried playing soccer, tennis and often plays badminton with his friends. He spends a lot of his free time playing video games on his phone, while he also watches movies and TV series with his mother.

Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia USA on 25 September 1980 – his zodiac sign is Libra and he holds American nationality. He gained recognition in 2001 when he formed the hip hop group P$C (Pimp Squad Click) together with rappers C-Rod, Big Kuntry King and Mac Boney.
T.I. – or Tip, a nickname from his paternal grandfather – was raised in Atlanta by his paternal grandparents as his father Clifford ‘Buddy’ Harris Sr. and his mother Violeta Morgan were very busy people – his father worked in New York City, and he died from Alzheimer’s disease. T.I. began rapping while attending second grade of elementary school, and from there he went on to attend Douglass High School, but quit after two years to focus on his career as a rapper.
At the age of 16 he met Big Kuntry King, and the two started selling their mixtapes from their car – this lasted until they were noticed by the record executive Kawan Prather, who signed the two to Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment.

In early 2006, T.I. released his new album “King” which topped the Billboard 200 Chart selling over half a million copies in only a week – in the same year, T.I. won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance while he was nominated for many other awards.
On 3 July 2007, his fifth album was released entitled “T.I. vs. T.I.P.” and it topped the Billboard 200 Chart and in early 2008, he was put in house arrest for possession of unregisterd firearms, and started writing his new lyrics on paper at home, resulting in the album entitled “Paper Trail” in September 2008, his third album to top the Billboard Albums Chart. On 1 September 2010, T.I. and his then-wife Tameka were arrested for the possession of drugs, and as T.I. was already on probation, he was sentenced to spend a year in jail. He released his new album “No Mercy” from jail on 7 December 2010 and it reached #4 on the Billboard Albums Chart – his eighth album “Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head” came out on 18 December 2012 not long after he was released from prison.
Some of T.I.’s most recent works have been on his extended play (EP) “Us or Else” released on 23 September 2016, his compilation album “Us or Else: Letter to the System” which came out on 16 December 2016, and another compilation album “Hustle Gang Presents We Want Smoke” which was released on 13 October 2017.
He is also an actor, having launched his acting career in 2006 when he starred in the comedy movie “ATL”, while his second role was in the biographical crime movie “American Gangster” released in 2007. The year 2010 saw him star in the action thriller movie “Takers”, and in 2013, he appeared in the crime comedy movie “Identity Theft”, which starred Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.
Two of his more recent roles have been in the comedy movie “Get Hard” and the critically acclaimed superhero movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, both in 2015.
T.I. has had disputes with many other rappers, such as Ludacris, Lil’ Flip and Shawty Lo, and has been criticized for speaking during the US presidential elections in 2016, stating how he can’t vote for a woman (Hillary Clinton) to be the President of the United States of America as he believes a woman couldn’t do the job properly – he later apologized on Twitter. He has also been criticized by many people for having forced his daughter to take a virginity test for several years until she turned 18.
T.I. has stopped two men from committing suicide – the lead singer of the rock band Creed named Scott Stapp, and ae 24-year old man Joshua Starks.
