Steven was raised in Los Angeles alongside his younger brother, by their father who was a businessman and their mother who worked as a nurse at a local hospital.

Steven became interested in movies while attending elementary school, and wanted to become a famous actor, just as most of his peers, however, this changed after he enrolled at a local high school and became interested in his father’s business. His passion for movies would later rekindle, but he chose to become a film producer rather than an actor.
