Who is YoungBoy NBA?
Kentrell DeSean Gaulden was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana USA, on 20 October 1999 – his zodiac sign is Libra and he holds American nationality. He is a rapper who goes by the name YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and who became famous mostly thanks to his single “Outside Today”, released in January 2018 and which reached #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Kayden had a rough childhood, as his father was arrested and sentenced to spend 55 years in jail, while his mother also wasn’t around for unknown reasons. He broke his neck when he was still a baby, and had to wear a head brace which left scars on his forehead. Kayden was raised by his maternal grandmother; he dropped out of high school before finishing his junior year. He was arrested for robbery at the age of 15 and spent some time in a detention center located in Tallulah in Louisiana, where he started writing the lyrics of his songs.
His grandmother died of heart failure while he was incarcerated, and Kayden thus invited his friend rapper OG 3Three to live with him – the two engaged in illegal activities to pay to record their songs in a studio.
Kayden began making music at the age of 14 after buying a microphone from Walmart, and he was 16 when his debut mixtape came out in 2015, entitled “Life Before Fame” – he became known for constantly releasing new material, and he released three new mixtapes in the same year – “Before I Go”, “Mind of a Menace” and “Mind of a Menace 2”.
He became somewhat popular in the US after the release of his mixtape “38 Baby” in October 2016, and on 4 November his new mixtape came out, entitled “Mind of a Menace 3”. It is widely believed that what really made Kayden popular was his feud with the rapper Scott Cain, as both of them wrote songs in which they insulted one another, including death threats, but they never really confronted each other physically.
YoungBoy was arrested again in December 2016 in Austin, Texas, after what appeared to be attempted first-degree murder – he got to spend some time in a prison in East Baton Rouge Parish in Louisiana, and while there his two mixtapes came out entitled “Mind of a Menace 3: Reloaded” and “Before I Go: Reloaded”.
He came out of jail in May 2017 after making a plea deal with the prosecutor and paying his bail, and only seven days later released his new single “Untouchable”. On 3 August 2017, YoungBoy produced new mixtape – “A.I. YoungBoy” – which peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200, while his single “Untouchable” reached #95.
In February 2018, YoungBoy was arrested again and sent to prison, released on 15 March. On 19 May his new mixtape entitled “Master The Day Of Judgment” came out, and on 27 April 2018 his debut full-length album was released, entitled “Until Death Call My Name”, and he announced that he would be releasing four extended plays (EPs) over the summer.
His first EP “4Respect” came out on 24 August, followed by “4Freedom” on 30 August. On 6 September, the third EP in the series entitled “4Loyalty” was released, and “4WhatImportant” followed eight days later. His new mixtape was released on 7 September 2018 entitled “Decided”, and it peaked at #9 on the Billboard 200 – his 13th mixtape “Realer” appeared on 20 December 2018.
In September 2019, YoungBoy was put under house arrest for 14 months, and is currently serving his sentence. However, he’ released several songs during this period, including “Bandit” and “House Arrest Tingz”.
On 10 October 2019, his new mixtape “Al YoungBoy 2” came out and in February 2020, his 15th mixtape followed, entitled “Still Flexin, Still Steppin”, and it peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200. His mixtape “38 Baby 2” which was released on 24 April 2020 became his first mixtape to top the Billboard 200. He has recently announced that his new album “TOP” is to be released on 11 September 2020.
As to his love life, that would seem to be in abeyance during this latest period of incarceration.
