Who is Jensen Daggett?

Jensen Daggett was born in Connecticut, USA on 24 July 1969 – her zodiac sign is Cancer and she holds American nationality. She is a former actress, perhaps still best known for portraying the lead character Rennie in the1989 slasher movie “Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan”, which also starred Scott Reeves, Barbara Bingham and Peter Mark Richman. The story follows several high school students attending their senior year who are on a trip to Manhattan – the film was nominated for two awards.

Jensen retired from acting in 1999 and has since been leading a peaceful life in Los Angeles – she has only come back to acting, in 2011 to appear in two episodes of a TV series.

She is today staying away from the media’s attention, and hasn’t given any interviews in several years.

Early life and education

Jensen was raised alongside her younger sister in Connecticut, by their mother who was a piano teacher, and their father who worked at a theatre but wasn’t an actor. Jensen became interested in acting at the age of seven after watching her first play at the same theatre where her father worked, and started taking acting classes around the same time she began attending Agoura High School located in Agoura Hills in California. She matriculated in 1987, and then moved to Hollywood to study acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of the Performing Arts degree in 1991.

Roles in TV series

She made her debut TV series appearance in 1990, when she portrayed Ashley in the episode “Awomp Bomp Aloobomp Aloop Bamboom” of the crime mystery series “21 Jump Street”, and the following year saw her portray Jennifer Arenberg in the episode “Hello Goodbye” of the historical war series “China Beach”.

Jensen’s following roles in series were in “Teech” in 1991, and “Melrose Place” in 1992, then in 1993 she guest starred in the episode “Flesh and Blood” of the crime series “Bodies of Evidence” starring George Clooney and Kate McNeil, and which follows a couple of homicide detectives working on cases in a big city.

In 1993, she was invited to guest star in a single episode of several series, including the crime series “South Beach”, the action adventure comedy series “The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.”, and the romantic comedy series “Step by Step”. In 1994, Jensen guest starred in the episode “The Godfather” of the series “Matlock”, and then played her first lead character ,Dr. Katie Cooper in the drama series “Medicine Ball”, which aired its nine episodes in 1995. The series also starred Timothy Omundson and Darryl Fong, and follows a team of young doctors working at a Seattle hospital under Dr. Douglas McGill.

In 1995, Jensen appeared in the episode “Last Chance” of the series ‘Strange Luck”, and starred in four episodes of the comedy series “Home Improvement”.

In 1997, she played Charlie McCarthy in six episodes of the comedy series “The Single Guy”, as well as Dr. Janey Markle in four episodes of the drama series “L.A. Firefighters”.

Some of Jensen’s later roles in TV series were in the episode “The Big Vent” of the romantic comedy series “Will & Grace” in 1999, the episode “Passages” of the romantic comedy series “Get Real” also in 1999, and the episodes “Sparrow’s Birthday” and “Pilot” of the comedy series “The Cynical Life of Harper Hall” in 2011.

The two married in a small ceremony attended by their closest friends and family sometime in the ‘90s, and not long after Jensen gave birth to their first child, after two years, she gave birth to their second child. Jensen then decided to focus on her family and raising her children which is why she began appearing in movies and TV series less often.

Jensen is a bit of a shopaholic, as she enjoys going shopping for clothes at least once a week, although she used to go shopping up to seven times a week when she was younger.

Jensen likes to travel and has been all around the US, spending most of her time in New York, California and Florida. She has also vacationed in several European countries including France, Greece and Croatia.

Jensen was physically very active during her 20s and 30s, with multiple training sessions at the gym each week, and playing a variety of sports, while she was also able to run for several miles.
