Who is Roz Kelly?

Roz Kelly was born in Mount Vernon, New York State USA, on 29 July 1943 – her zodiac sign is Leo and she holds American nationality. She is an actress who is perhaps still best known for her portrayal of Carol ‘Pinky’ Tuscadero in the comedy musical series “Happy Days”, which starred Ron Howard, Henry Winkler and Marion Ross, and which is about the Cunningham family surviving the ‘50s with the help of the superhuman Fonzie. The series aired from 1974 to 1984, and was a huge hit as it won 16 awards including three Golden Globes, while it was nominated for 19 other awards. Roz retired from acting in 1998, and has since been leading everything but a peaceful life. She was arrested on 29 November 1998, because after the neighbor’s car alarm woke her up, she fired a shotgun into their living room window – she also fired at the neighbor’s car and hit another car. She was put on three-year probation and was ordered to see a psychiatrist. She was arrested again on 20 August 2000 after attacking her ex-boyfriend in the street with her cane, and was on 27 October sentenced to spend four months in jail, however, as she had already spent nearly 100 days in jail waiting for the verdict, so was released.

Roz has since been staying away from the media’s attention.

Roz was raised an only child in Mount Vernon, by her father who was a car mechanic and her mother who was a housewife.

In 1969, Roz played The Little Girl in the comedy “Utterly Without Redeeming Social Value”, and the following year she had the supporting role as Eleanor in the comedy “The Owl and the Pussycat” starring Barbra Streisand, George Segal and Robert Klein, and which follows an author who starts dating his neighbor who is a prostitute.

In 1971, Roz was cast to appear in two movies: she played The Girl in Park in the comedy drama “You’ve Got to Walk It Like You Talk It or You’ll Lose That Beat”, and she also portrayed Roz (not herself) in the comedy “Okay Bill” written and directed by John G. Avildsen.

In 1980, she appeared as Virgina Trickwood in the comedy “Murder Can Hurt You!”, and three of her final roles in movies before retiring from acting were in the horror thriller “New Year’s Evil” portraying Diane Sullivan also in 1980, the animated historical drama “American Pop” in which she voiced Eva Tanguay and the comedy fantasy horror “Full Moon High” written and directed by Larry Cohen in which she played Jane, both in 1981.

Roles in TV series

In 1977, Roz guest starred in the episode “Blansky’s Biking Beauty” of the comedy series “Blansky’s Beauties”, and was then invited to appear in four episodes of the critically acclaimed action crime drama “Starsky and Hutch” which starred David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser and which is about two cops who are driving a Ford Gran Torino, and fighting crime with the help of Huggy Bear who is a police snitch – the series won four awards and was nominated for six others, including a Golden Globe.

Roz went on to guest star in two episodes of the action crime drama “Kojak”, and was then appeared in single episodes of both the crime drama mystery “Baretta”, and the adventure series “Sword of Justice”. The year 1979 saw her star as Amy Creavy in the episode “Luke’s Love Story” of the action comedy “The Dukes of Hazzard”, while she was then praised for her performance in the award-winning romantic comedy “The Love Boat” starring Gavin MacLeod, Bernie Kopell and Ted Lange, and which won four awards and was nominated for 21 others, including eight Golden Globes.

In 1980, Roz guest starred in two episodes of the popular action adventure crime series “Charlie’s Angels”, and three of her final roles in TV series before retiring from acting were in the episode “Sweet Revenge” of the crime drama mystery “Nero Wolfe” in 1981, two episodes of the adventure comedy drama “Fantasy Island” in 1982, and the episode “Primetime” of the drama “Trapper John, M. D.” in 1983.

Roz is very secretive when it comes to her love life, and avoids sharing details of her past and present affairs with the public, however, there are rumors circulating the internet that she might be a married woman, but no proof has been provided to support these claims. It is known that she was in a long-term relationship with a man during the ‘90s, as he later reported to the police that she attacked him several weeks after he decided to break-up.
