Molly was raised alongside her older brothers Jeremy and Zachary who are fraternal twins, and her younger brother Jacob – only Zachary of all the siblings has inherited the dwarfism condition from his parents, which makes him shorter than other people. Unlike her brothers who are mostly focused on starring in their parents reality show, Molly grew up being interested in creative writing, and in acting, while she was also physically active in high school, playing a variety of sports such as handball and soccer. Upon matriculation, she enrolled at the private institution Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington State, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both accounting and Spanish language in 2005.

In September 2016, she joined the accounting company Moss Adams in Spokane, Washington State, serving as their assurance staff member before she was promoted to Assurance Senior in June 2018.
