Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings

Eden grew up in the nearby Manhattan Beach, and at a young age showed a strong inclination towards athletic activities, and excelled in the sport volleyball in particular. She attended The Marlborough School in Los Angeles which is a storied institution, dating its history back to 1889. In Southern California, it is the oldest independent girls’ school, and has also been named one of the best girls’ schools in the US.

During a summer camp, she participated in a few drama activities which built her interest in that field, and she realized that she had the potential to find a career in the entertainment industry, being so close to Hollywood in Los Angeles. She began attending auditions, and soon landed a few commercial roles, one of her first being in a commercial for Wells Fargo, and another for Valpak Coupons.

The show initially followed the lives of people connected to General Hospital in an unnamed city. It received its highest ratings during the 1980s with the introduction of Luke and Laura, deemed the most popular super couple of the show. Josslyn Jacks + the Decline of the Soap

McCoy plays the character of Josslyn who is the daughter of Carly Corinthos with Jax Jacks. The storyline around her character has been active since childhood, as she becomes involved with issues surrounding her parents. While she has been enjoying success and a regular paycheck with the show, viewers note that the soap opera is a dying genre in US television.

Out of the many that were created during the 1950s up to the 1980s, only four major soap operas remain – “General Hospital”, “Days of Our Lives”, “The Young and the Restless”, and “The Bold and the Beautiful”. This is due to a declining interest in the genre, with new fads, technology, and programming attracting viewers. Regular television broadcasts have also been seeing a slow decline following the popularity of web television services such as Netflix and Hulu. For now, there is enough interest in shows like “General Hospital” for it to continue, though it remains to be seen for how long.

Personal Life

Eden is single, and isn’t one to talk about her romantic relationships. She is busy balancing her acting career and education. She committed to playing volleyball in college, joining the University of Southern California (USC) after being scouted by them. For now, she has around a year of studying left in high school before she can join the prestigious university, supposing that her acting commitments don’t get in the way!
