Jane Wymark was born in Paddington, London, England on 31 October 1952 – her zodiac sign is Scorpio and she holds British nationality. She is an actress perhaps still best known for her portrayal of Morwenna Whitworth in the romantic history drama series “Poldark” which has been airing since 1975, and which also stars Robin Ellis, Angharad Rees and Clive Francis. The series is about Ross Poldark who comes back to Cornwall to meet his love after fighting in America in 1783 – Jane was shooting for the series in 1977. It won one award and was nominated for five others including one Primetime Emmy.

Jane was raised alongside her brothers Dominic and Tristram in London by their father Patrick Wymark who was an actor, and their mother Olwen Wymark who was a writer and a playwright.

Jane became interested in acting at a very early age, as her parents took her onto the sets of the movies and TV series they were shooting for. She was a member of her high school’s drama club. and appeared in nearly all the plays performed there, as well as several at a local theatre.
