Childhood and education

Diletta was raised in Catania alongside her younger brother Mirko Leotta, by their mother Ofelia Castoria who is a housewife, and their father Rori Leotta who is the owner of a small business in Sicily.

Diletta became interested in sports at a very early age, as soccer is very popular in Italy, and her father and brother would often watch matches on TV, as well as attend live matches. Upon enrolling at a local high school, she began playing soccer for the school’s team, while she also started modelling at the age of 16, and won the “Miss Elegant” beauty pageant at Miss Italy 2011.
