Early Life
Dylan Llewellyn’s British parents welcomed Dylan into the world on 10 September 1992, in England. Dylan, who is the youngest of three brothers, is still up and coming in Hollywood – most of his childhood and family life has yet to be confirmed.
Early education
Llewellyn went to More House School located in Farnham, a school dedicated to kids with special needs and learning disabilities. It was here that he became more confident around other people, and progressed in his newly taught learning techniques. It took Dylan many years before he revealed to the public that he was dyslexic and the challenges that came with growing up with a learning disability.
When speaking to ‘GetSurrey’, he exposed his vulnerable side, explaining ‘At first it was hard for me to learn scripts at short notice, but after a couple of years of appearing in ‘Hollyoaks’ and needing to learn lines on a daily basis, it became much easier.’
Career 2009 at the National
2009 was a great year for Dylans career. He started by being cast by Anthony Horowitz in Theatre, and not long after Creative Artist Management (CAM) signed him on, before he went on to play Ricky, the lead in a short film for the National Film and Television School (NFTS).
The next year in Llewellyn was chosen to play Adam Wilcock in the TV series “The Bill”, and later that year he secured a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, a school that only accepts 28 new students every year.
In every movie starring an aspiring actor, the character puts on a performance so brilliant that a scout that just happens to be in the audience ‘discovers’ them, offering a once in a life time shot at becoming a Hollywood star. For Dylan this is how it all started.
Llewellyn performed such a passionate performance in a high school play he was contacted by an agent shortly afterwards and this is how Dylan scored his big break in 2011 when he was cast as Martin ‘Jono’ Johnson in TV series ‘Hollyoaks’. After many small roles and cameos he was cast in his most famous role to date as ‘James’ in the TV show ‘Derry Girls.’
In an interview with GQ.com Llewellyn described finding out he had got the part in ‘Derry Girls’: ‘I got the call during work and told him it was my agent and he goes, “Go!”.
Ever since watching ‘The Inbetweeners’ Dylan had always wanted to get into a comedy series and that dream came true when he was cast in ‘Derry Girls.’ Dylan said everyone at work was very excited for him and he would always have a place there is he ever wanted it.
Famous spouse
In ‘Derry Girls’ Dylan’s character James plays a shy awkward teenager that enjoys a boy band is slowly starting to find his own amongst a group of bullies targeting him at school. Based on characters interests, James could have been perceived as homosexual.
As is known in Hollywood rumours and speculation fly around often with little or no evidence regarding the actor’s sexuality – such happened with Dylan.
When asked about his sexuality Dylan responded ‘I support gays, even though I myself am not actually gay.’ He even went on to Tweet the quote with the hashtag Pride2018. With a picture below stating, ‘Them gays stick together.’
The actor has not been linked to any romantic relationships in his life, but in 2013 he sent out a tweet in which he expressed his want for a girl followed by the hashtag lonely. To date the actor has still not revealed in any interviews or on any of his social media platforms whether has a girlfriend. However, the possibility that Dylan has love in his life is not improbable – as do most celebrities, Dylan may be keeping his romantic endeavours away from the prying eyes of the public.
