Early Life and Career Beginnings

In 2010, he had his first notable role, being cast as Hastings Ruckle for the television series “Friday Night Lights”. Bissinger, telling the story of a high school football team which goes through the ups and downs in search of their desired victory at a grander stage. The show tackles numerous issues apart from football, including drugs, racism, American culture, and many more. It proved highly successful, becoming a critical success and winning numerous awards during its run over five years.

Damon was only a part of the show for one season, as he began working on another series – “The Nine Lives of Chloe King”. The show which aired on ABC follows the story of the titular character who discovers that she is a descendent of an ancient Egyptian god. Gifted with powers, she must find a way to stop the impending war between humans and her kind. The show attracted had a bit of attention, but was canceled after a season.

Continued Acting Work

In 2013, Grey was cast in the show “Twisted”, the story of a kid who was wrongfully charged with killing his aunt. He returns to his hometown five years later, and is blamed for another murder, so he takes matters into his own hands, trying to clear his name.

Grey was a part of the show for one season playing Archie Yates, but the show ended afterwards.

During the same year, he gained significant attention as he appeared in a supporting role to Logan Lerman in the film “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”. The film is the final installment of the “Percy Jackson” series and is based on the series of novels written by Rick Riordan. This installment continued the story of Percy Jackson as he and his companions travel in search of the Golden Fleece. The film received mixed reviews, being widely criticized due to how far it strayed from the source material.

Path to Station 19

In 2015 Damon was cast in the television show “Aquarius”, which aired on NBC for two seasons, and follows the story of an LAPD detective investigating possible connections to a missing girl case. While the show proved popular during its first season, interest in it soon faded, leading to its cancellation after two seasons.

In the meantime, he was cast as the DC character Sam Scudder – also known as Mirror Master – for the CW series “The Flash”, which is based on the DC character of the same name. He portrayed the character for two episodes, and then worked on the film “The Possession of Hannah Grace”.

One of his latest projects is the television series “Station 19”, which is the second spin-off from “Grey’s Anatomy” following “Private Practice”, following the lives of people working in the Seattle Fire Station 19.

He stars in the show alongside Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, and Barrett Doss. The film has been running for three seasons and his popularity has reached a high for his performance. He has also guest-starred in an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy”, playing a passionate and fearless character, once one of the co-acting captains of Station 19.

While his main work is in television, he dislikes having anything to do with reality television, and has professed his continued interest in theatre.

Personal Life

It is known that Damon is in a relationship with actress Alice Greczyn, noted for her work in various films in the late-2000s, including “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Sex Drive”, and “House of Fears”. He often supports his girlfriend’s endeavors as seen through many of his social media posts. The couple owns three Maine Coone cats.
