Born Liane Valenzuela on the 22nd August 1986, in San Jose, California USA, she is the daughter of Wally and Prima Valenzuela, who are Filipino immigrants, which makes her of Filipino ancestry.
Her parents were involved in the music industry, owning a DJ company, which inspired young Liane to take an interest in music. Growing up, she was a part of the choir and later in a band as well, which helped her develop her vocal ability.
