Childhood and education
Claire was raised an only child in Grant by her father who was an athlete and a high school football coach, and her mother who was working as a nurse at a local hospital.
Motivated mostly by her father, Claire became physically active while still attending elementary school, as she started running track and doing gymnastics. She studied at Campbell County High School at which she ran track and field for her school’s team, as well as becoming a competitive gymnast. Today, Claire holds four golden medals won at State Championships, and in the last three years, she won all individual all-round competitions – she also competed in high jump, 200 meters, 400 meters, hurdles and pentathlon.
Upon matriculation in 2005, Claire enrolled at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 2009.
Career as a model and other ventures
After graduating, Claire joined the ESPN network as an intern, and worked alongside Kenny Mayne on the web show “Mayne Street” – from there she became a researcher on the ABC’s show “Dancing with the Stars”. After a year, Claire returned to ESPN working as the production assistant for their show “ESPY Awards” assisting live show producers and managing the production office.
In 2010, after being encouraged by her friends and family, Claire joined the Miss Wyoming USA beauty pageant, and after stated in an interview that she didn’t expect to win, and that her victory caught her by surprise. She went on to compete in the Miss USA 2010 beauty pageant ranking in the top 15, becoming just the second girl from Wyoming to rank that highly – Beth King placed in the top 10 in 1986 and also became Miss Photogenic, while Linda Leafdale (1966), Cynthia Pate (2009) and later Callie Bishop (2018), were named Miss Congeniality.
Claire also launched her acting career in 2013 ,as she guest starred as Stephanie in the episode “Meet the Pattersons” of the comedy series “Good Cop Bike Cop”.
Love life and relationships
Claire met her future other half Michael Yo in 2013 when they were introduced by a mutual friend, and on 26 July 2015, the two announced that they were engaged – they married on 14 February 2016 in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family, and it appears that the two have decided to focus on their careers rather than to have children.
Michael Yo was born in Houston, Texas USA, on 20 November 1974 – his zodiac sign is Scorpio and he holds American nationality. He launched his career as a correspondent for the entertainment E! News, The Daily 10 and Extra, and he has taught Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian about being a DJ when they decided to start their own reality TV series “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami”. He guest starred in the pilot episode of the TV stunt game show “Fear Factor” in 2001, and on 23 July 2012 created a podcast together with Jo Koy entitled “The Michael Yo and Jo Koy Show”; his most recent appearance has been in the free audio and video podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” on 12 May 2020.
Michael is today perhaps best known for having hosted the syndicated news magazine program “The Insider” while he is today hosting “Yo Show” airing on Yahoo! TV.
As of August 2020, Claire and Michael are living in Houston in Texas, and don’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
In January 2014, Claire co-founded The Give a Kiss Foundation, and has since been serving as its director. She is in charge of managing all aspects of the non-profit organization, which aims to help impoverished children have equal chances at high education. She is also the organization’s public spokesperson, and is managing its social media accounts and website.

Claire likes to travel, and her multi-faceted career has helped her travel all around the US, while she’s had the opportunity to visit many European countries such as Switzerland, England and Croatia.
She is a lover of animals who volunteered at an animal shelter on numerous occasions during her teenage years, and who doesn’t like to go to zoos as she believes animals belong in the wilderness far away from people – she doesn’t support the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) society, as she believes these are hurting animals more than helping them.
In her spare time, Claire likes to watch comedy movies, and her favorite actors and actresses are Jim Carrey, Robin Williams and Julia Roberts, and some of her favorite movies are “Bruce Almighty”, “Patch Adams” and “Notting Hill”. She also likes to watch TV series, with her favorite being “Sex and the City”.
