Early life and education

Romann was raised in France an only child, by his father who is a taxi driver and his mother who is working at a local supermarket. He became interested in acting at the age of five, after watching movies and TV series, and his mother soon enrolled him at a school for the performing arts at which he practiced his acting skills. Romann attended Bilingual Acting Workshop (BAW) Teen Film Acting Workshop in Paris, together with Clarence Tokley and although mostly focused on acting, he was also interested in sports, and played soccer and tennis.

He has matriculated just recently in 2020, and won’t attend college but focus on his career as an actor.

Career as an actor

Romann launched his acting career in 2007, when he portrayed Gaston in the romantic comedy movie “Le Coeur des Hommes 2” which starred Bernard Campan, Gerard Darmon and Jean-Pierre Darroussin, and follows the story of four friends over the course of four years.

In the following year, Romman appeared as Ludo in the crime movie “Miroir, Mon Beau Miroir”, directed and written by Serge Meynard but which failed to attract much attention, and in the same year Romann made his debut TV series appearance, when he portrayed Remi in the episode “La Festin d’Alain” of the comedy fantasy series “Josephne, Ange Gardien”, which won three awards and was nominated for two others. The year 2009 saw him appear as Romain in the episode “Mascarade” of the crime series “Brigade Navarro” – the series was cancelled after airing eight episodes.

Romann was very busy in 2010, as he guest starred in a single episode of the crime series “Le Juge Est une Femme” and then portrayed Lucas in the episode “Eau et Gaz à Tous les Etages” of the medical series “Équipe Médicale d’Urgence”– he also played the supporting character Jules in the comedy film “Merci Papa, Merci Maman”. In 2011, he portrayed Gaetan Fauvet in the comedy movie “Le Bon Samaritain” which failed to attract much attention.

He made his debut voicing performance in 2012, when he voiced the lead character Kirikou in the animated adventure film “Kirikou et les Hommes et les Femmes” in 2012, and his following role came two years later when he played the supporting character Marius Fares in the comedy film “Cout de Chance”.

Three of Romann’s most recent roles have been in the in 2017 romantic fantasy series “Outlander”, in which he portrayed Fergus in 12 episodes, the thriller mini-series “Jeux d’Influence” in which he played Damien Forrest in six episodes in 2018, and the 2019 comedy movie “Huguette”, in which he played the supporting role of Remi.

Romann hasn’t talked about dating any girls, as he prefers to keep his personal matters to himself, and because he hasn’t talked about girls and is usually surrounded by men, there are rumors circulating the internet that he is gay, while some of his fans have even claimed to have seen him being rather too close to his male friends at a nightclub in Paris. Romann hasn’t commented on any rumors regarding his sexuality.
