Shelby began acting when she appeared in school plays; her favorite character she played was Princess Fiona in their “Shrek” production.
She booked roles reasonably soon after moving to Los Angeles. She made her professional debut at the age of 15 in 2017, when she played Shanelle an episode entitled “The Trip Trap” of the Nickelodeon show, “Game Shaker,”
In 2018, she made a single episode appearance in the television adaptation of “School of Rock,” then later that year she had the recurring role of Natalie in season two of the Disney Channel series, “Andi Mack” – the comedy-drama created by Terri Minsky aired from 7 April 2017 to 26 July 2019, and starred Sofia Wylie, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Lilan Bowden, Trent Garrett, Joshua Rush, Lauren Tom, and Asher Angel.
A big year for Shelby professionally, she was also Sydney Quinn, a lead in Netflix’s “Prince of Peoria;” the comedy show was the first Netflix series to be filmed with a live studio audience present.
In 2019, Shelby made a guest appearance as Joss Moss in “Henry Danger,” her character introduced as mob boss Rob Moss’ daughter in the episode entitled “Double-O Danger.”
Later in 2019, she began starring as Ava in the Disney Channel series “Bunk’d”, a teenager from the city who is the new camp counselor, even though she has no relevant experience.

Jedediah Swearengen founded the camp and named it after a Bigfoot-type legendary creature, which is said to live in the forest close by. The camp is famous for still running, even though they violate multiple safety regulations and health codes. The fifth season of the series was confirmed in February 2020.
In 2020, Shelby was cast as a lead alongside James Denton in the feature film “Selfie Dad”.
Personal life
Shelby enjoys playing sports, and is part of a champion softball team.
She also loves animals and has two pets of her own, a white rabbit named Luenell and a dog named Daisy.
She was rumored to be dating the lead actor in “Henry Danger,” Jace Norman, after the pair attended the Kid’s Choice Awards together in March 2019. She walked the orange carpet with him, they posed for photos and looked very happy.
He won the Favorite TV Actor award, and it looked like he was holding hands with Shelby before getting up to accept his award. They did not officially announce their relationship, but Jace did post a photo of Shelby onto his Instagram account, along with other pictures from the night. He later posted a selfie with her and captioned it, ‘One last one,’ along with a red heart emoji and sideways smiley.
Shelby also posted photos of the event, and captioned the, ‘Had an awesome time at the kids choice awards! The slime was legit. Thank you, @jacenorman, for inviting me, and thank you @saniyyasidney @amconstance for being there with me! I love you guys.’
They both continued to post photos together, suggesting they are in a relationship – Shelby posted a photo that appeared to be a romantic Santa Monica getaway.
If the two were an item, it seems that they have broken up. Jace’s last photo with Shelby was posted in May 2019, and she has since deleted any pictures of or with him on Instagram.
