UrinatingTree (Schlasser) was born in North Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, on 17 January 1988 – his zodiac sign is Capricorn, he holds American nationality and his real name is Steve. He is a YouTube star best known for his channel onto which he mostly uploads gaming, comedy and sports videos. He launched his eponymous channel on 11 August 2010, and has since gathered nearly 400,000 subscribers and over 120 million views of all his videos combined.
Early life and education
UrinatingTree was raised in North Hills an only child, by his father who was a car mechanic and his mother who was teaching English at a local high school.
He grew up being interested in sports as he often watched hockey and football matches with his father, while he was also very sporting at his high school, as he played both football and soccer. He matriculated from high school in 2006, and it is believed that UrinatingTree continued his education at a college, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 before deciding to completely focus on his career on the internet.
Career as a YouTuber
Before he launched his current YouTube channel, UrinatingTree was known as the Fat Mann Judgeth, who covered old video games on his first channel – these games were mostly played on the Sega Genesis console.
He was also creating a comedy gaming series – “Half-Assed Theater” – and after three years of uploading content and becoming somewhat popular on YouTube, UrinatingTree disappeared without a trace before coming back in 2010 with his brand new channel.
UrinatingTree usually puts his videos in one of the following categories: “Lolcows in Sports” which is about the lowlights of basketball and hockey teams, the ‘(Team Name): Professional (Sport played)’s (insulting nickname)’ in which he talks about the members and statistics of a team that has done poorly in several seasons, and ‘A Legacy of Failure’ which is about one team’s inability to win any championships.
Other than his three main series, UrinatingTree has a plethora of others:
- ‘The Haters Guide’ which follows the most important events in a sport such as the start of a season or the finals of a championships;
- ‘Congrats, (Team Name)’ series, in which he mocks sport teams which have recently lost a game;
- ‘This Week in Sportsball’ which has three subcategories: ‘Days Of Our Steelers’ which is only about the team Pittsburgh Steelers, ‘Sacksonville Abbey’ which is about the Jacksonville Jaguars, and ‘Raiders of the Lost Season / D.I.V.A’ which is about Antonio Brown who is playing for the Oakland Raiders (after having played for the Steelers for multiple seasons);
- ‘Revisiting…’ which is about some of his former videos, how these were created and what happened after their creation;
- And ‘A Postmortem’, reviewing the newest video games which are not as good as it was expected.
Two of UrinatingTree’s currently most popular videos are “0-16: The Story of the 2017 Cleveland Browns” as it has been viewed over 1.7 million times since 2 January 2018, and “The Haters Guide to Super Bowl 52” as it has been watched over 1.57 million times since 25 January 2018.
There is a fan Instagram page of UrinatingTree which is followed by over 2,700 people, although there are around 30 pictures uploaded onto it – the description section reads ‘not the real urinatingtree’, but many people believe that this is actually his real account.
He is active on Twitter on which there are around 50,000 people currently following him; UrinatingTree also has a Facebook page which he rarely uses.
Love life and relationships
UrinatingTree hasn’t talked about any girls he might have been, with as he prefers to keep his personal matters to himself, however, there are many rumors circulating the internet regarding his sexual orientation, and his past and current affairs.
It is believed that he is currently in a relationship with a girl who might have been heard in some of his YouTube videos – UrinatingTree has been asked about the mysterious female voice in the background on various occasions, but he seems disinterested in answering these questions.
Because he avoids talking about girls, it’s believed by some that he might be gay, as he seems to enjoy ‘watching men play sports so close to one another’, as some of his fans have claimed.
As UrinatingTree hasn’t commented on his love life or his sexuality, he is single as of September 2020, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
UrinatingTree spends most of his free time watching sports on TV, so that he knows what to base his videos on, however, he still likes to go out and watch matches live.

He is keen on watching movies when there are no sports to watch, and some of his favorite actors and actresses are Tom Hanks, Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, and some of the movies he likes to watch the most are “The Terminal”, “You’ve Got Mail” and “The Runaway Bride”.
UrinatingTree is a lover of animals with dogs being his favorites, but he doesn’t have a pet as he doesn’t have enough time to take proper care of it.
He is not a big fan of travelling, as he prefers to stay at home where he feels safe and cozy, while he also doesn’t like planes – he has only been to a couple of US states, mostly to visit relatives while he was still a teenager.

UrinatingTree’s age is 32. He has short brown hair and blue eyes, his height is 5ft 8ins (1.73m) and he weighs around 165lbs (75kgs) – UrinatingTree prefers to keep his face away from the camera.
