Early life and education
HeyImBee was raised in Melbourne alongside her older brother, by their father who is a car mechanic, and their mother who is working as a nurse at a local hospital. She became interested in playing video games at a very early age, after it was her brother began playing them first.
After he showed her the basics, she soon became better than him. She was physically active while attending high school, as she played soccer and volleyball and preferred to spend her free time with boys and to talk about video games and sports rather than to gossip with other girls. Upon matriculation in 2011, she decided not to enroll at a college but to rather focus on her career on the internet.
Career as a YouTuber and Twitcher
HeyImBee gained recognition after she began uploading her gameplays of the popular video game “Minecraft”, filling her YouTube channel with these, however, after her first VR video gained many views, she chose to entirely focus on “VRChat”, and in 2019 deleted all the Minecraft videos she had previously uploaded.
She is still a member of the whitelisted Minecraft server The Cube – she left after The Cube’s first season on YouTube ended but rejoined for the second season when she became the Queen of the Cube; it doesn’t appear that she is planning to leave the group again. She is also focused on playing the video game “The Sims”, which she has been playing for years now, and calls her associates ‘the Bumble Family’.

HeyImBee has tried keeping details of her love life hidden, but it is known that she was once in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend Gingy, as she often mentioned him in her videos and livestreams; however, the two broke up sometime in 2017.
She has recently moved in with Mitchell ‘Mitchy’ Straub, better known for his online nickname StrauberryJam, and what brought them together was their mutual love for the video game “Minecraft”. Although both have stated that they are not romantically involved, but are rather just close friends, their fans don’t seem to believe that – some are certain that the two have been dating for over two years now. StrauberryJam is also a member of The Cube, and it’s believed that he and HeyImBee met there.

Hobbies and other interests
HeyImBee’s favorite color is blue, but most of her fans believe it is either black or yellow because of her avatar’s eye and hair color. Although she likes bees and has used them for her nickname, she is allergic to them in real life, and was once stung by a bee which led to her (not the bee) being taken to a hospital. She is a huge lover of animals with her favorites being dogs, and she had a pet dog called Roxy who died in 2019 from old age. HeyImBee’s favorite food was Nutella but after she decided to become vegan, she had to stop eating it. She likes to travel, and has been to Europe and the US on several occasions.
HeyImBee is keen on watching movies, and some of her favorite actors and actresses are Robert De Niro, Matt Damon and Kristen Stewart, while some of her favorite movies are the trilogy “The Godfather”, “Catch Me If You Can”, and “Good Will Hunting”.
