Childhood and education
Kay was raised alongside his three brothers Jay, Chandler and Jarvis, in London by their parents who were both working in the field of law – Kay has always been very close to his family, and today occasionally uploads pictures featuring them onto his Instagram account.
He attended Oxted School at which he played soccer, and also became interested in various other things, including computers, acting and business management. After Kay matriculated in 2014, urged by his parents he enrolled at college to study business administration, however, as he became more interested in software and game development during his first year of studies, he quit education and focused on his career on the internet.
Career as a YouTuber and the FaZe Clan
Kay launched his YouTube channel on 7 January 2012, and it has since gathered close to 5.4 million subscribers and over 1.3 billion views of all his videos combined ,mostly comedy content including pranks, challenges and ‘would you rather’ videos. His two most popular videos are “FORTNITE ZONE WARS with the FAZE HOUSE – $50,000 Challenge” which has been watched close to 17 million times since 11 September 2019, and “8 YEAR OLD vs 11 YEAR OLD (Fortnite 1v1)” which has been viewed over 11 million times since 4 September 2019.
Kay is also active on Twitch, and usually livestreams while playing “Fortnite”, having gathered almost 150,000 followers.
FaZe Clan, formerly known as FaZe Sniping, was launched on 30 May 2010 in Los Angeles, California, and is today owned by nine people, some of whom are Thomas ‘Temperr’ Oliveira, Yousef ‘Apex’ Abdelfattah and Nordan ‘Rain’ Shat. They started by uploading their “Call of Duty” videos onto their YouTube channel, in which they performed trickshots.
Since then, the Clan has played numerous games, including “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege”, “Fortnite Battle Royale” and “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive”, and have become a professional eSports team, who have won several “Call of Duty” championships. In 2018, FaZe Clan made it possible for celebrities to donate money to them, and amongst prolific donors were the musician Pitbull, the basketball player Ben Simmons, and the footballer Gregory van der Wiel.
Kay and his FaZe friends are all philanthropists, and have organized various events at which money was gathered and donated to charity.
They held a four-week charity event starting on 15 March 2020, which was attended by social media stars and sportspeople, and which raised around $125,000, which was then donated to those struggling with coronavirus.
Love life and girlfriend
Kay has been dating his long-term girlfriend Charlotte Parkes since they were introduced by a mutual friend at a party. Charlotte is a model, social media star and a YouTuber, who might be known best for her YouTube channel which she launched on 18 November 2011, and is subscribed to by over 650,000 people, counting more than 100 million views of all her videos combined.
She mostly uploads comedy videos as well as those in which she gives her fans advice regarding make-up. Charlotte is more popular on Instagram as her account is followed by over 700,000 people, while she has uploaded close to 500 pictures, most of which have her buttocks and breasts in focus.
Kay hasn’t talked about any other women he might have dated, and as of October 2020, he is in a relationship with Charlotte Parkes, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Kay and the rest of his FaZe friends are all physically very active, as they have multiple training sessions at the gym each week, and are trying to eat mostly healthy food. This way of life was introduced not long after the Clan was formed, as they realized the importance of being physically active after playing video games for so long.
Kay is interested in travelling, and has been to many gaming events organized around the world, while he’s also vacationed with his girlfriend in various US states, and European countries such as Florida and New York in the US, and Croatia and Greece in Europe.
