Zolee was raised alongside her older brother Nate and younger brother and sister Cameron and Noah in Los Angeles, by her father who works at an insurance company and their mother who is a lawyer.

Zolee became interested in fashion at a very early age, and while still attending elementary school, realized that she has a very unique taste in clothes. She was physically very active as a teenager, as she played soccer and tennis, and was also a member of her high school’s drama club, appearing in several plays. Zolee travelled to Europe with her parents, and the trip inspired her to become active on the internet and share her tips and tricks on fashion and looking beautiful with the help of make-up and various accessories.
She matriculated in 2015, and then chose not to attend college, but to focus on her career.
Zolee launched her YouTube channel on 29 January 2014, and has since gathered over 76,000 subscribers, however, sometime in 2019, Zolee decided to delete all her videos from her channel and has since been inactive – she has also removed her Instagram account for unknown reasons, and become inactive on her Twitter account, which she’d created in September 2009.
She is currently running her own blog – ‘TheOutfit’ – and has recently started co-hosting the podcast “Not Up For Debate” (“NUFD”).
Acting career
Zolee made her debut TV series appearance at the age of six in 2003, when she portrayed Amber in the episode “Skin” of the drama “Strong Medicine”, created by Tammy Ader and Whoopi Goldberg, and which starred Rosa Blasi, Jennifer Lewis and Josh Coxx It follows two female doctors who are treating only females at the Rittenhouse Women’s Clinic. The series was very popular, as it won 10 awards and was nominated for 17 others.
The year 2004 saw her make her debut film appearance, when she portrayed LaTeesha in the drama “Back When We Were Grownups”, which starred Blythe Danner and Faye Dunaway, and is based on the eponymous novel written by Anne Tyler.
In 2005, Zolee played Molly, one of the lead characters in the comedy drama film “Soccer Moms”, and gained recognition two years later when invited to play Tanisha in the family comedy series “Cory in the House”, which starred Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley, and is about Cory Baxter who moves to the White House with his father who has been invited to serve as the president’s chef.
Zolee made her voicing debut in 2009, when she voiced a character in the romantic comedy film “Bride Wars”, which starred Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway and won one award while it was nominated for eight others.
The year 2016 heard her voice Fallon in three episodes of the animated historical comedy series “Adam Ruins Everything”, and in 2017 she appeared in the music video “Khalid: Young Dumb & Broke”.
Zolee was praised for her portrayal of Alison Black in the 2018 comedy film “Public Disturbance”, but the film itself received mostly negative reviews – it starred Beau, Luke and Jal Brooks, and follows the pranks pulled by the comedy troupe The Janoskians. Later that year Zolee played Emma in the episode “No Small Talk” of the sports comedy series “Ballers”, created by Stephen Levinson, and which starred Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John David Washington.
It’s about a couple of footballers, their private lives and families, and the series won one award and was nominated for 32 others, including five Primetime Emmys.
In 2019, Zolee portrayed Izzy in the horror comedy “Bit”, which was both written and directed by Brad Michael Elmore but received mostly negative reviews. In the same year, Zolee starred as Shurrie Diggs in 10 episodes of the biographical drama series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”.
Two of her most recent roles have been in the 2020 episodes “7 Day Weekend” and “Reversal of a Dog” of the romantic comedy series “Boomerang”, and in the 2020 action adventure movie “Archenemy” written and directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer, but which failed to attract much attention.
Love life and boyfriend
Zolee has been keeping details of her love life hidden, but has stated how she would like to have a boyfriend, but that she usually intimidates boys who don’t want to ask her out because she is ‘too pretty’. She hasn’t talked about any men she might have dated, which is one of the reasons why there are rumors circulating the internet claiming that Zolee might be a lesbian, while two of her fans have even claimed to have seen her being rather too close to a female friend at a club – others have dismissed the rumors, adding that it is somewhat normal for girls to kiss, without having to be lesbians.
