Jackson was raised alongside his brother, Patrick Mahomes II and sister Mia, in Texas by their father Patrick Lavon Mahomes, Sr. who is a former baseball pitcher, and their mother Randi Mahomes who was a housewife – Jackson’s brother is a famous professional quarterback currently playing for the Kansas City Chiefs competing in the National Football League (NFL).

On 30 April 2020, he signed a 10-year contract with the Chiefs worth $477 million, the largest contract in the history of American professional sports.
Patrick asked his other half, Brittany to marry him on 1 September 2020, and on 29 September, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
Patrick is a philanthropist, and the founder of the non-profit organization 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of underprivileged children.
