Childhood and education
Tokyo was raised in Santo Domingo alongside her siblings by her father who was a mailman, and her mother who was a seamstress.
Tokyo was urged by her parents to focus on her education, and she spent most of her time studying and preparing for her tests, while she only became interested in other things upon enrolling at a local high school. She and her best friend decided to try out their acting skills and thus joined the school’s drama club, and although Tokyo’s friend made her way into the film industry, Tokyo wasn’t as talented. She continued her education, and upon matriculation in 1977 enrolled at a college from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1981.
Tokyo’s career
Tokyo worked several jobs to financially support herself after graduation and in 1991, she decided to join the US Army. Upon returning from the Army, she worked for various companies before founding her own talent firm On My Grind Entertainment and Promotions LLC in 2014, of which she is today the CEO.
Tokyo is also a TV personality, as she’s appeared in four TV series covering her daughter’s life. In 2016, she appeared in the episode “Rob & Chyna Baby Special” of the family series “Rob & Chyna”, which aired seven episodes but received only negative reviews, and in 2019 Tokyo was cast to appear in nine episodes of the reality TV series “The Real Blac Chyna”, which follows both private and business life of Blac Chyna.

Tokyo was in a relationship with the criminal Eric Holland, who is Blac’s father – they dated for several years but are no longer close – Tokyo is today also a grandmother as Blac gave birth to two of her children Dream Kardashian and King Cairo – King Cairo’s father is the popular rapper Tyga while Dream’s father is the reality TV star Rob Kardashian.
