Rachael Elaine Harris hails from Worthington, Ohio, and was born under the Capricorn zodiac sign on 12 January 1968, which makes her 55 years old as of 2023. She’s the daughter of Mickey Hargitay and Elyse Knox, and was raised alongside her siblings Kristin Nelson and Mark Harmon.

The Plymouth, Michigan, native has a particular interest in jazz, indie pop, and indie rock, and has collaborated with numerous entertainment elites including Jay-Z, Josh Groban and Rufus Wainwright, among others. Hebel was born in December 1975, which makes him seven years younger than his wife, Harris. After several years of dating, the duo became engaged in Capri, Italy, and eventually walked the aisle in New York City on 30 April 2015 – the famed dancer, TV personality, and actress Kelly Ripa and the producer, singer and actor Neil Patrick Harris were their witnesses.
Surrogacy, Motherhood Journey, and Second Divorce
During an interview with PEOPLE, Harris gave a glimpse of her motherhood journey. She stated, ‘I think there’s a reason that I didn’t have children until I was in my late 40s, early 50s. I had a lot of work to do…I knew that it really scared me to have kids…’ She revealed that she was unable to conceive naturally, and since In vitro fertilization (IVF) had also failed, her doctor recommended surrogacy. The couple found a surrogate in late 2015, and their first son Henry was born in July 2016. They later found another surrogate who carried their second son, Otto, born in 2018.
Harris and Hebel split in 2019, and their divorce was finalized in December 2020. Subsequently, Harris filed for joint physical and legal custody of their children. Harris has revealed that she’s maintained a good relationship with her ex-husband, Hebel, and that they are handling co-parenting well.
