Additionally, she shared new details about her workout routine and explained how exercise has helped her manage her anxiety. She added that “terrifying anxiety attacks” after the divorce prompted her to adopt an exercise regime that led to her losing 100lb in two years. The star said the transformation was “mainly” about controlling her anxiety. “I had the most terrifying anxiety attacks after I left my marriage,” she explained. “They paralyzed me completely, and made me so confused because I wouldn’t be able to have any control over my body.” After noticing that her anxiety eased at the gym, she began to go every day. Her exercise regimen includes weight lifting and circuit training moves which she has been working on for three years, according to Vogue.

In another interview with British Vogue, Adele said that during quarantine, she worked out three times a day: “So I do my weights in the morning, then I normally hike or I box in the afternoon, and then I go and do my cardio at night”. She added that she works with trainers like Greg Miele at Heart & Hustle gym in Los Angeles, California to get the most out of her sweat sessions, per Vogue. She also confirmed that any rumors suggesting she lost weight by dieting are false. “No intermittent fasting. Nothing. If anything I eat more than I used to because I work out so hard,” she told British Vogue.
Despite her 100-pound weight loss, Adele assures that she hasn’t changed on the inside. “My body’s been objectified my entire career. It’s not just now,” she said. “I understand why it’s a shock. I understand why some women especially were hurt. Visually I represented a lot of women. But I’m still the same person,” she told Vogue. “You don’t need to be overweight to be body positive. You can be any shape or size,” she continued to British Vogue. Previously, Adele joked about her recent weight loss and told fans “my album’s not finished” as she hosted the US comedy show Saturday Night Live.
