Dominic Gutierrez was born on the 5th April 1997 in San Diego, California USA; he is the son of Rey Mysterio Jr. and his wife Angie, and has a younger sister, Aaliyah, born in 2001.

He was introduced to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) at an early age, when at the age of eight he was put amidst the fight between his father Rey and wrestler Eddie Guerrero. The storyline was that Eddie could have been Dominic’s father, and they fought at SummerSlam for custody over young Dominic. Mysterio won the bout and the storyline ended there.

Five years later, Dominic was once again featured in WWE, this time he was there to help his father in the feud against the Straight Edge Society, consisting of CM Punk, Luke Gallows and Serena.

Dominic signed a contract with the WWE in 2017, and made his first appearance in March 2019 in SmackDown Live, alongside his father, during which Rey announced a fight against Samoa Joe at WrestleMania 35. His next appearance was on Raw, helping his father in fighting Samoa Joe.

He was a part of Rey’s storylines for the better part of 2019, and even got himself involved in a match between Mysterio and Brock Lesnar, WWE Champion at the time, held at Survivor Series. Clinging to his father’s fame, Dominic made another appearance next to his father, this time when Rey was fighting Seth Rollins, Murphy and Austin Theory.

His father lost an eye in the “Eye for an Eye” match at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules on the 19th July 2020, and young Dominic came to father’s help and charged against Rollins, however, he was less than successful, and was saved by Aleister Black, his father’s ally.

After this, Dominic challenged Seth Rollins for a fight at SummerSlam, and during the acceptance speech, Dominic attacked Rollins and his teammate Murphy, kicking them out of the ring and hitting them with the kendo stick. However, a week later, Rollins and Murphy returned the favor to Gutierrez and bashed him with kendo sticks, hitting him more than 30 times, which has left some marks on his body, but Dominic stood up heroically to the beating and didn’t even try to leave the ring. The fans admired him for his bravery, so he’s already a WWE star, without even a single professional fight.

He is scheduled to make his debut on the 23rd August 2020 at the SummerSlam.
