Who is Adam Bartley?

Adam Bartley was born in Minnesota, USA on 28 January 1979 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Archie ‘the Ferg’ Ferguson in the modern western crime series “Longmire” which starred Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips, and which is about the sheriff of Absaroka County in Wyoming who is fighting crime while mourning his deceased wife. The series aired from 2012 to 2017, and won four awards while it was nominated for five others.

Early life, family and education

Adam was raised an only child in Minnesota, by his father who was a firefighter and his mother who was a housewife – the family led a modest life but couldn’t afford to go on expensive trips and vacations. He became interested in acting at a very early age after watching TV series with his mother; he played baseball and football while attending Eden Prairie High School, and is today a huge fan of Minnesota Vikings American Football team. He practiced singing and acting while at high school, and upon matriculation in 1997, enrolled at the Southern Methodist University known for its amazing acting program – he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting.

Career as an actor

After graduation, Adam moved to New York and appeared in numerous stage plays, then after several years moved to Chicago, and then to Dallas, appearing in plays wherever he went. From Dallas, he moved to Colorado, and eventually found himself in Alaska. He returned to Aspen in Colorado, where he spent four years teaching students acting, while he also directed around 15 plays.

After moving to Los Angeles in California in 2011, he made his debut TV appearance in the episode “Getting a Rise from the Dead” of the anthology series “1000 Ways to Die”, and was then cast to appear in single episodes of the police procedural crime series “Criminal Minds”, the series “Get Busy”, and the action comedy spy series “Chuck”.

The year 2012 saw him guest star as Junior in the episode “The Devil You Know” of the western crime series “Justified”, and the following year he portrayed Robbie Reuben in a single episode of the period drama “Vegas”.

In 2014, Adam appeared in both the crime series “Killer Women” and the crime procedural comedy series “Bones”, before he was invited to portray the supporting character Carl Brown in the action series “NCIS: Los Angeles”, for which he was shooting until 2017. Some of his latest roles in TV series have been in three episodes of the romantic family series “This Is Us” in 2017, the episode “Clean Burn” of the drama “Doubt”, and the episode “Shape-Shifters” of the animated anthology web series “Love, Death & Robots” both in 2019.

Adam made his debut film appearance in 2012 when he starred as an escaped convict in the short movie “Be Strong”, and in the same year starred as Jim Wright in the film “Qwerty”, which failed to attract much attention. The following year saw him portray Driscoll in the action movie “Armed Response”, and his first notable performance was in the supernatural horror movie “Annabelle: Creation” in 2017, in which he was cast as Officer Fuller – the film stared Anthony LaPaglia, Samara Lee and Miranda Otto, and was a success as it won an iHorror Award for Best Horror Remake/Sequel, and was nominated for six other awards.

Two of his latest roles in movies have been in 2018 in the biographical comedy movie “Vice” in which he portrayed Frank Luntz, and the animated film “Burning Dog”, in which he voiced Five.

Adam is very secretive regarding his love life and hasn’t commented on any women he might have dated since the launch of his acting career.

However, it is widely known that he was in a relationship with a non-celebrity girl Alia in 2016, as the two were seen together at a red carpet event in March 2016, and over the following two years, and both have also occasionally uploaded pictures of themselves together onto their Instagram accounts. Adam hasn’t commented on the rumors, but it is believed that he and Alia married sometime in 2019 in a private ceremony attended by around 20 of their closest friends and family.

He hasn’t talked about any women he might have dated before meeting Alia, and as of August 2020, Adam is dating Alia or they are maybe married, but apparently don’t have children.
