Dylan Kingwell was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on 6 July 2004 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds Canadian nationality. He is an actor, who is perhaps known best for his portrayal of both Duncan and Quigley Quagmire in the comedy adventure series “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, which also starred Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton and Malina Weissman, and is about three children who, after losing their parents in a strange fire, are learning the secrets related to their family. Childhood, parents and education
Dylan is being raised in Vancouver alongside his two sisters, by their father who is a theatre actor, and their mother who is working as a nurse at a local hospital.
Dylan’s parents helped him launch his career, as he won his first role at the age of four, and went on to practice his skills at both his school’s drama club and at a local theatre, at which his father occasionally performs. Dylan also became interested in ice hockey at quite an early age, and played for his elementary school team, while he is today also playing for his high school team.
Dylan enrolled at a high school in 2018, so should matriculate in 2022, after which it seems that he will most likely focus on his acting career, and won’t be enrolling at a college.
Roles in movies
Dylan made his debut film appearance in 2011, when cast to play Jordy Junior in the romantic comedy “To the Mat” written by C. Jay Cox, directed by Robert Iscove, and which starred Ricky Schroder, Laura Bell Bundy and Cameron Bancroft – the film follows an ex-wrestler who is running a wrestling school which might close for lack of work.
In 2013, Dylan appeared as The Little Boy in the action comedy “The Young and Prodigious T. S. Spivet” , both written and directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and which starred Helena Bonham Carter and Judy Davis – it follows a 10 years old boy who escapes from home to receive an award from the Smithsonian Institute. The movie was both a commercial and critical success, and won five awards while it was nominated for six others.
In 2014, Dylan appeared as Boy at Art Show in the biographical crime drama “Big Eyes”, which was directed by Tim Burton and won three awards including one Golden Globe, and in the same year, he starred as Young Coyle in the short action adventure “Soldiers of Earth”. Dylan made his debut TV series appearance in 2013, when cast to play Young Stephen in the episode “In Too Deep” of the science fiction action drama “The Tomorrow People”, created by Greg Berlanti and Phil Klemmer, and which starred Robbie Amell, Peyton List and Luke Mitchell – the series is about people with superpowers who are being chased by agents who want to kill them. It won two awards and was nominated for three others.
Dylan gained recognition in 2015, after being cast to portray Victor in 10 episodes of the fantasy horror drama “The Returned”, which is about deceased people of a small town who come back to life and return to their families – it was nominated for two awards. In the same year, Dylan appeared in the episode “Just My Imagination” of the critically acclaimed fantasy horror series “Supernatural”, then in 2017 he was invited to play two characters in six episodes of the drama “The Good Doctor”, which is about a young surgeon who has Savant Syndrome and autism, but who nevertheless starts working in a big hospital.
Two of Dylan’s most recent roles in TV series have been in the family comedy “The Baby-Sitters Club”, in which he played Sam Thomas, one of the lead characters, and the science fiction mystery drama “The 100” in which he had a supporting role as Luca.
Love life and girlfriend
Dylan is very secretive when it comes to his love life, and hasn’t talked about any girls he might have dated, while it is widely believed that he is too young to be dating anyway. However, there are rumors circulating the internet claiming that he might have been in a relationship with Lara Hynes, who is probably only known for being the sister of the actress Louis Hynes. Dylan and Lara have been seen spending time together on various occasions, but both have stated that they are only close friends.
It is also believed that Dylan is today dating Avi Lake, an actress who also appeared in the series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” – they have also been seen spending time together on multiple occasions, while some of their fans have even claimed to have seen them holding hands! However, neither of the two have commented on these rumors.

Dylan spends a lot of his time on the internet looking at memes, and can spend hours watching comedy videos on TikTok. His objective is to one day travel all around the world, while his dream travel destination is Paris in France.
Dylan is also interested in reading books, and his favorites are “Percy Jackson” and the “Harry Potter” series.
He has his own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Matt Damon, Heath Ledger and Amanda Seyfried, and a few of his favorite movies are “Good Will Hunting”, “The Dark Knight” and “Letters to Juliette”.

Dylan is still developing at 16. He has short brown hair and brown eyes, his height is 5ft 7ins (1.71m), and he weighs around 135lbs (62kgs).
