Professional Career
After graduation, Hasnie was offered a job in Fort Wayne, hired by WANE-TV as an investigative reporter.
The station is owned by Nextar and has been on air since the 1950s, offering locally produced newscasts with two four-hour news shows daily. While she served mostly on the sidelines during this period, she filled-in as an anchor when the main anchors were not available. Her biggest story during this time was a report on voyeurism, which helped her get an Emmy Award nomination.
In 2011 she moved to Indianapolis, and joined the Fox affiliate, WXIN-TV/FOX59. The station is known for holding primary broadcasts of the Hoosier Lottery, which is the official lottery of the state. She first rose to prominence as she became a correspondent for the daily news program “Fox & Friends”, currently hosted by Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt and Steve Doocey.
It focuses on the main news headlines in the morning, while also having various other segments, often involving political analysis, feature stories, and a few entertainment news segments.
With her work there, she also became a part of the earlier spin-off from “Fox & Friends” called “Fox & Friends First”.
