Barbara Rickles was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, date unknown but presumed to be in the early-1940s. Her nationality is American. She was raised with two step-siblings.

Slowly they developed a bond, and finally on 14th March 1964, they united for what became a lifetime.

After two years of marriage, Don and Barbara were blessed with daughter Mindy Rickles, and in 1970 they welcomed their son they named Larry.

Both of her children made their careers in the entertainment industry. Larry started to work as a producer and screenwriter, including on projects such as “Murphy Brown” and “Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project”.

For Larry’s work on his father’s documentary ” Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project”, he was awarded a Primetime Emmy in 2008.

Sadly, Larry died of pneumonia on 3 December 2011 at the age of 41; this was one of the most difficult phases in the life of Barbara and Don Rickles.

On the other hand, Mindy Rickles followed her dad’s path of being a comedian, and has also worked as an actress. Mindy is known for her performances in movies such as  “Tales from the Crypt (1989)” and “Daddy Dearest (1993)”, and “Dealin’ with Idiots (2013)”.

Mindy married renowned jazz musician Ed Mann, and they are blessed with two sons, Harrison and Ethan.

Don Rickles is a legendary personality in America’s comedy niche. He was born on 8 May 1926, in New York City, USA. He matriculated from Newtown High School in 1944, and then during the time of WW2, he served in the US Navy. Later, wanting to pursue a career in acting, he joined The ‘American Academy Of Dramatic Arts’, but struggled to find acting work, so he started to work as a stand-up comedian in clubs of New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

He has a different style of doing comedy – people started to call it Insult comedy, and enjoyed his unique way of doing it, so Don became famous in the clubs of several areas, and millions were fans of his comedy. Rickles also adopted various nicknames, such as ‘The Merchant of Venom’ and ‘Mr. Warmth’.

In 1958, made his film debut in “Run Silent, Run Deep”, and from that point didn’t have to look back, as success lay in his way.

He has acted in a number of movies and television show. Some of his acting skills were demonstrated in movies such as “The Rat Race”, “The Money Jungle”, “Redux Riding Hood”,  and “Kelly’s Heroes”.

Don Rickles is also a voice of ‘Mr. Potato Head’ in the animated movie franchise called “Toy Story”. His voice and way of talking was liked by billions of people from all over the world.

Sadly, Don Rickles passed away on 6 April 2017 at the age of 90 due to his kidney failure, just a month after celebrating his 52nd marriage anniversary.

After the death of Don Rickles, Barbara remembers his caring nature, and says that time and memories will heal all the pain. Currently, she is living with her daughter and grandchildren in the US.
