Nichole was raised in Minneapolis by her parents, but not a lot is known about them, except that they divorced when Nichole was still very young, that her father was an alcoholic, and that he died.

Nichole was urged by her mother to focus on her education, and was thus one of the best students at her high school. She had numerous interests, including acting, creative writing and dancing, and upon matriculation in 1994 enrolled at Arizona State University, however, she quit after her brother died in a skiing accident.

He gained recognition after he was invited to act in the dramatic series “China Beach”, and then became somewhat popular after portraying the supporting character Frank in the sitcom “My Name is Earl”. He is also known for his portrayal of Don Self, one of the lead characters in the fourth season of the series “Prison Break”.

He made his directing debut in 2011, with the documentary movie “Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest”, which received positive reviews.
