Andrea LA Thoma of Malaysian-American descent, was born on 11 July 1988, in Alliance, Ohio, USA to parents Judy Majalap, a Malaysian, and James Thoma, an American; her zodiac sign is Cancer and her birthstone is Ruby. She and her siblings, Jonathan and Louise Thoma, were raised in Ohio, but are aware of their Borneo heritage and culture. Her mother made sure that she can speak Bahasa Malay and Kadazan by teaching her both local Malaysian languages, along with its traditions while growing up.

However, before seeing any action for the team as a freshman, she was put in a medical redshirt year. Her rookie year started in 2007 instead of 2006 due to her knee injury during the pre-season. She was given an honorable mention for the Academic All-MAC Team, and was able to score a multi-goal game that made her the 19^th player to do it in the history of the women’s soccer team.

Career

Even when Andrea was still a college student, she worked in Virginia and Connecticut for five months as a Physical Therapist. After graduation, she transferred to Sunnydale, California, and worked for a few months before deciding to pursue her doctorate.

As a Doctor in Physical Therapy, she currently deals with patients recovering from accidents, helping them regain mobility.

She said that one of the most difficult tasks as a physical therapist is to be able to convince the patient to fully commit to the rehabilitation program. His planned a romantic proposal with Costa Rica as its backdrop, to coincide with his filming schedule in the Latin American country.
