Sasse was born to Gary Lynn Sasse(father) and Linda Sasse(mother). His father was a high school teacher and a football coach. His grandfather, Elmer Sasse worked as a vice president of finance for Midland University for 33 years.

  • In January 2005, he left the Department of Justice and began serving as chief of staff to Representative Jeff Fortenberry.
