Billy Crystal is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and film director who is famous for his role as Jodie Dallas on the ABC sitcom “Soap” in the 1970s and 1980s. He is also well-known for being a cast member and frequent host of Saturday Night Live. He made his theatrical film debut in the comedy film, Rabbit Test, as Lionel Carpenter in 1978. In 2001, he made his theatrical film debut as a voice actor in the animated buddy comedy film, Monsters, Inc., as Michael “Mike” Wazowski. In 1975, he made his first TV show appearance in the musical comedy series, Keep on Truckin’. In 1993, he made his TV show debut as a voice actor in the animated family series, Shelley Duvall’s Bedtime Stories. He has voiced and appeared in several movies including Running Scared (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), Throw Momma from the Train (1987), Memories of Me (1988), When Harry Met Sally… (1989), City Slickers (1991), Mr. Saturday Night (1992), Analyze This (1999), and Parental Guidance (2012). He provided the voice of Mike Wazowski in the Monsters, Inc. franchise. He starred on the Broadway stage in “700 Sundays” in 2004 and again in 2014 and in “Mr. Saturday Night” in 2022.
