Carly was raised an only child in Omaha by her father who is a theatre actor, and her mother who worked as a nurse at a local hospital.
Carly and her mother often watched her father perform at a local theatre, and most of the plays he appeared in it were comedy, which is how Carly became interested in that genre. She would often perform for her family and her friends in an attempt to make them laugh, and was advised by her teacher to test her acting skills in her high school’s drama club.
Carly appeared in several plays performed at the school, and upon matriculating in 2008, she decided not to pursue a college degree but to find a job to financially support herself, while working on her career as a comedian.
Carly launched her career as a comedian on her YouTube channel “Carly Incontro”, on 23 October 2012, and has since gathered over 230,000 subscribers and more than eight million views of all her videos combined.
