Charlotte Mary Hawkins is a famous English journalist, newsreader and television presenter. Currently, she is working for ITV. In the year 2003, Hawkins joined “Meridian Tonight” that aired on ITV where she hosted the main news programme. After three years that was 2006, she left this programme and started working in the Sky’s Breakfast programme Sunrise as a co-presenter along with Eamonn Holmes. After a long period of almost eight years, Charlotte Hawkins left the Sky and started co-presenting another show named “Good Morning Britain” that is an ITV Breakfast programme.

Charlotte Mary Hawkins was born on 16th May 1975 AD in Chichester, West Sussex, England. Her father’s name was Frank Hawkins, and he was a clergyman at Chichester Cathedral. Frank died of cancer.

As far as her education is concerned, Hawkins firstly got admission in Bishop Luffa School that located in Chichester. After her studies in the school, she entered the University of Manchester and got the degree of graduation with a BA in English Literature. After graduation, she got admission in the London College of Printing from where she took the Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. This was all about her education. She initially started her career in the year 1999.

After completion of her Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, Hawkins started her broadcasting career with ITN in the year 1999. She initially worked as a newsreader and reporter for LBC Radio. At the fatal Paddington rail crash, she was one of the first journalists who provided live reports from the scene. She switched to ITV Meridian in the South East of England in January 2000. There she started co-presenting the show named “The Big Story” that was an hour-long current affairs series.

After that, she started working as a co-anchor in the Meridian Tonight that was the main news programme of ITV Meridian from October 2003. Hawkins also presented on the ITV News Channel. On this channel, she also presented many pan-regional documentaries including the half-hour special named Britain on the Move. Her next work for ITV was The London Boat Show that she co-presented in the year 2007.

After that, she moved to another channel named Sky News in January 2007. On this channel, she again co-presented another show named Sunrise from Monday to Thursday with Eamonn Holmes. It was the March 2014 when Hawkins left this channel and again switched to ITV. She also remained a presenter on Five News for a short period and also a reviewer on the ITV programme This Morning.

Hawkin confirmed as a presenter in the programme named “Good Morning Britain” that was an ITV Breakfast programme on 3rd March 2014. So on 6th March 2014, she appeared on the Sky News Sunrise for the last time and appeared for the first time on the “Good Morning Britain” on 28th April 2014. She once again co-presented this show with Susanna Reid, Sean Fletcher and Ben Shephard from 6:00 am to 8:30 am. This show aired on every day of the week except Thursday. From 23rd January to 14th June of 2015, Hawkins remained on maternity leave.

Apart from her career, she also took part in the 15th series of a dance competition show named “Strictly Come Dancing” on BBC One in August 2017. She paired with Brendan Cole who was a professional dancer. Unfortunately, the pair eliminated in the fourth week of the series. Recently, it announced that Hawkins would present her own Classic FM music show on Sunday afternoons between 3 to 5 pm from January 2018.
