Michael Anthony Bell II – known by his professional name Tone Bell – was born in Decatur, Georgia USA, on 10 August 1983 – his zodiac sign is Leo and he holds American nationality. He is a stand-up comedian and an actor perhaps best known for his portrayal of RJ The Bartender in the comedy series “Whitney” from 2012 to 2013, the series starring Whitney Cummings (who also created the show), Chris D’Ella and Rhea Seehorn, about a couple and their friends spending their lives in Chicago. Childhood and education
Tone was raised an only child in Decatur by his father who was a taxi driver, and his mother who was a nurse at a local hospital. He became interested in acting after watching movies and TV series with his parents, while it was in elementary school that he began telling jokes and making his friends laugh, which is how he became interested in doing stand-up comedy.
Tone attended a public high school in Decatur, where he was physically active as he played football and basketball, while also doing stand-up comedy at a local bar. Upon matriculation in 2001, he started teaching first grade, and then moved to San Francisco, California where he worked as Swivel Media’s brand manager.
He moved back to Atlanta, Georgia and began promoting a beer company, which sent him to Dallas, Texas where he began acting.

Tone made his debut film appearance in 2012, when he starred in the short animated adventure film “Solstice” directed by Ed Skudder and Lynn Wang, about a woman and her friends who are trying to retrieve a mysterious orb in a world of fantasy. The following year saw Tone portray Philip in the science fiction drama mystery movie “Implanted”, written and directed by Thomas Verrette, and which starred Justice Leak, Robert Pralgo and Beth Keener. It follows a man who has been implanted with fake memories, and who is now searching to find out who he really is.
He went on to portray Davis in the comedy film “To My Future Assistant”, which starred Catherine O’Hara and Jillian Bell and is about several colleagues working at a New York law firm, who band together to fight their evil boss. After a three-year break, Tone appeared in the comedy film “My Time Your Time”, which gained little attention, and was then cast to play the lead character Michael Abby in the short drama movie “Woman Child”, written and directed by Emily Bloom, which also starred Toby Huss, and Nora Kirkpatrick as a woman who is fired after she becomes pregnant.
Tone appeared in three movies in 2018 – the romantic comedy “Dog Days” in which he portrayed the supporting character Jimmy, the comedy “The Weekend” in the lead role of Bradford Collins, and the comedy “It’s a Party”, playing the supporting character Cool Breeze. Tone made his debut TV series appearance in 2012, as Parker in two episodes of the comedy drama series “Single Ladies”, which starred Travis Winfrey and LisaRaye McCoy, about three friends living in Atlanta, Georgia who will do whatever it takes to find love and prosperity. The following year saw him invited to play the supporting character Tom in the comedy series “Creepy Caress”, which counted 12 episodes before it was cancelled due to having a low number of viewers.
