  • Dan started his career by his professional mixed martial arts in March 2009. He fought primarily in his native New Zealand and amassed a record of 10-4. He won the title of King in the Ring Middleweight Kickboxing  Championship and WKBF X-Rules Welterweight Championship and had a record of 9-1-3 in his debut professional kickboxing game.
  • In his kickboxing career, he played 13 games in which he won 9 games (5 games by knockout, 1 draw and 3 losses). 
  • On October 18, 2009, he was a part of the ICNZ Contender Series No 1 Gi Submission Wrestling Tournament where he beat Thomas Kwok and Bass khou by guillotine choke and lost to PUmau Campbell on points. He has a record of 3-2 in submission grappling. He has also competed in New Zealand 2011 No-Gi National under 77kg/170lbs where he beat Paul Faavaoga in the first round but lost to LJ Stevenson in the second round.
