Biography
David Wayne Spade is an American actor, writer, comedian, and television personality. He reached for his fame in the 1990s as a cast member on Saturday Night Live; then he began a successful acting career in both film and television. David Spade was born on July 22, 1964, in the United States. He has been active since 1987.
David Spade Early life
Spade’s birth took place in Michigan, United States. He is the son of Judith J, a writer and magazine editor, and Wayne M. Spade, a sales representative. His brothers are Bryan and Andy Spade; Andy is an entrepreneur who, together with his wife Kate Spade, co-founded the designer brand Kate Spade New York.
Spade with his family shifted to Arizona when David was only four years old. His parents signed to the divorce, so he with his brother, were raised for the most part by their mother. They were poor and remained at a tough time.
Spade went to Saguaro High School and later Scottsdale Community College, before transferring to Arizona State University, where he got his bachelor degree in business in the year of 1986. He remained a significant member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Spade played standup at the university’s long-running sketch comedy show, “Farce Side Comedy Hour” on various occasions. In the mid-80 he also performed “stand up” in the Monday night comedy show at Greasy Tony’s Pizza in Temple, Arizona.
David Spade Career
With the support of his mate and fellow comedian Dennis Miller, Spade gave joining for Saturday Night Live in the year of 1988. By 1990, Spade was a regular cast member as well as a writer. While remaining there, he became famous for his brand of sarcasm, and his cheeky chappy roles in a number of sketches were hits. Some of them include a flight attendant for “Total Bastard Airlines” who bids a dismissive “buy bye” to each passenger upon disembarking, a receptionist for Dich Clark who, as a matter of policy, asks people indiscriminately, “and you are.”
Spade also did impressions of various celebrities, including Brad Pitt and Michael. Most of the material, he wrote in his time at SNL was given to Dana Carvey to play on the show. Due to his relatively low work rate, he was in danger of being fired as a performer, until the “Hollywood Minute” segment secured his position.
The film career of Spade was successful. He emerged with fellow Saturday Night Live cast member and friend Chris Farley in two buddy comedy films, Tommy Boy in 1995 and Black Sheep in 1996. The two were planning for a third film, but Farley died of a drug overdose in 1997 at the age of 33. When Spade declined to attend Farley’s funeral, rumors abounded that was falling out between the two. Spade admitted that their friendship had been strained partly because of the drug problem of Farley.
1997-2004
Spade received many offers to star in his own TV shows, he turned them down and joined the ensemble cast of Steven’s office sitcom “just shoot me” which ran for several seasons from 1997 to 2003. He played a sarcastic receptionist, Dennis Finch. While emerging on “just shoot me,” Spade made his solo starring role in the 2001 film Joe Dirt, which was a modest box office success. The film was co-written by Spade and Fred Wolf.
Spade was cast again in the 2003 film Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, again co-written by Spade and Wolf. His notable films are “grown-ups” in 2010 and “grown ups 2” in 2013, in which he performed notable roles. These films were major box office hits.
Spade hosted both the Teen Choice awards and Spike’s Video Game awards in 2003. He did the voice for several episodes of Beavis and also produced his own TV series Sammy in 2000. From 2002 to 2006, Spade regularly appeared in commercials for Capital One where he played the employee of a fictional rival company. In 2004, he joined the cast of 8 Simple Rules, following the death of sitcom’s star John Ritter, for the show’s third and final season.
2006-2017
Spade has the voice talents for the 2006 video game “The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.” He provided the voice of Spyro’s dragonfly companion, Sparx.
From2007 to 2013, he cast as Russell in the ensemble CBS sitcom “rules of engagement.”
In 2010, he worked with TBS on a pilot for an animated series based on Joe Dirt, but it was not a success.
In 2017, Spade made the announcement a partnership with comedy channel YouTube channel Gary Swann.

Spade had been in numerous relationships including Heather, Julie, Teri, and Naya. He and Grace have a daughter, Harper, who was born on August 26, 2008.
David Spade Facts
In Dec 2005, Spade donated $100,000 to the police department of Phoenix, which provided firearms for the officers. He also gave a donation of $200,000 for the Tornado relief program in May 2013, and $100,000 toward the ALS ice bucket challenge in 2014. Spade lives in Beverly Hills, California. In June 2017, his house burglarized.
