After beginning his amateur career, he compiled 7-0 amateur record. He then compiled a record of 7-0-1 in Resurrection Fighting Alliance and World Fighting Federation. He signed with the UFC in 2016.
- He made his UFC promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 103 against fellow newcomer Devin Powell in January 2017. He won his debut fight via unanimous decision. - Klose was scheduled to face Jai Herbert at UFC Fight Night 185 in February 2021. However, Herbert pulled out of the fight and was replaced by Luis Pena. The fight was once again canceled after Klose tested positive for COVID-19. He was scheduled to face Jeremy Stephens at UFC on ESPN 22 in April 2021. However, the bout was scrapped on the day of the event after Klose sustained a spinal injury as a result of being shoved by his opponent Stephens at the weigh-ins. He received his show money and compliance pay despite the fight being canceled.
- Klose remained out of the fight for two years. He returned to the octagon to face Nikolas Motta at UFC on ESPN 34 in April 2022. Motta was removed from the fight for an undisclosed reason and was replaced by Brandon Jenkins. Klose won the fight via technical knockout earning the Performance of the Night honors.
- He was scheduled to face Carlos Diego Ferreira at UFC 277 in July 2022. However, Ferreira pulled out of the bout due to injury. Rafa Garcia replaced Ferreira whom Klose defeated via unanimous decision.
