Eileen Davidson is quite a multi-talented personality – she is an actress, television star as well as an author who is perhaps best known for starring in the role of Kristen DiMera on the American soap opera “Days of Our Lives”, for which she was honored with the Daytime Emmy Award. Eileen Marie Davidson was born under the zodiac sign of Gemini on the 15th June 1959, in Artesia, California, of American nationality and white ethnicity.

She’s the youngest of seven children of housewife Charlotte, and Richard Davidson who was an airplane parts fabricator; she has four sisters – Connie, Mary, Patricia and Ruth, and two brothers – John and Thomas.

Acting Career

Eileen began her career in the entertainment industry as a model in Mexico City, Mexico.

After over a decade-long hiatus, in 1999 Davidson returned to her role of Ashley Abbott in “The Young and the Restless” which she’s continued with ever since. For this two-and-a-half decade-long performance, Eileen has earned three nominations for the Soap Opera Digest Award, in 1986, 1988 and 2000, as well as a nomination for the Gold Derby Award in 2009. In 2018 she was honored with the Daytime Emmy Award for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. In 2012, Eileen returned to “Days of Our Lives”, and ’til 2015 starred in the role of Kristen DiMera, while between 2017 and 2018 she portrayed the recurring character of Susan Banks. For all her engagements in this soap opera, Davidson earned two consecutive nominations for the Soap Opera Digest Award, in 1997 and 1998, while in 2013 and 2015 she was honored with the Gold Derby Award. In 2014, she won the Daytime Emmy Award for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Between 1997 and 2000 she was married to Daytime Emmy-nominated actor, producer and screenwriter Jon Lindstrom. Since April 2003, Davidson has been married to American actor Vincent Van Patten, with whom she welcomed a son they named Jesse Thomas Van Patten, who was born in 2003.
