It was after this that Hogan spoke about Donald Trump’s comments about Democrats not applauding him. They were called ‘treasonous’ by Trump after not applauding during his State of the Union address in 2018. Hogan said Trump was talking ‘tongue-in-cheek’.
A little while later, Hogan stated that the media and Democrats had created more chaos in America than the Russian government. This was after a number of Russians were indicted for election interference after Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation.
In 2019, Hogan was considered as a candidate to be the White House Press Secretary after Sarah Sanders stated that she would step down from the role.
