Alabama’s Nick Saban owns an astonishing net worth of $50 million as of 2019. The six-time national champion takes $8.7 million paychecks annually. 

The victorious head coach signed a contract extension with Alabama in 2017, keeping him upto 2024. The deal also gave him an additional $4 million bonus for signing. Thus, he set the record of the highest fee for a college coach, paying him $65 million upto 2024.

Saban is The First Coach to Win Titles With Two Different Teams

Nick Saban holds the record for being the first coach to win the national championship with two different sides. He won six titles in total, where five of them were with Alabama and one with LSU.

Saban’s Rise to Stardom 

The 68-year-old coach began his coaching journey from Toledo in 1989. Later, he left Toledo to become defensive coordinator of Cleveland Browns. Even though he spent four seasons in the side, he said that those four years were the worst of his life.

After the bitter journey, he signed for Michigan State and improved the side instantly. In 1999, he led the team to their highest ranking since 1966.

In November 1999, Saban signed as the 31st LSU coach. He led them to Peach Bowl, SEC Championship, and a BCS National championship.

Miami Dolphins to Alabama

After his excellent run with LSU, Saban pursued a new challenge with Miami Dolphins with a lucrative contract.
