Kai is being raised an only child by her mother and her father Ryan Phillippe, a famous American actor.

Her mother dated Ryan sometime in 2010, but learned that she was pregnant only after their break-up in September – Ryan was still there when Kai was born, and is said to be a good father, even though he and Alexis are no longer together.

Kai has two half-siblings from her father’s first marriage to American actress and film producer Reese Witherspoon – her half-sister Ava Elizabeth Phillippe was born on 9 September 1999, while her half-brother Deacon Resse Phillippe was born in 2003.

He might be known best for his portrayal of Billy Douglas in the soap opera “One Life to Live”, created by Agnes Nixon and which starred Erika Slezak, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson.

It aired from 1968 to 2013, and follows three families – Lord, Wolek and Riley – who are living in the made-up city Llanview. Ryan was a member of the cast in 1992 and ’93, and appeared in 13 episodes.

He was raised alongside his three sisters by their father Richard Phillippe who worked as a chemist, and their mother Susan who was the owner of a day care center. Ryan attended the school Barbizon from which he matriculated in 1992.

Ryan is interested in martial arts, and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, which he earned during his teenage years.
