Early life and education. When did she gain weight?
Loey was raised as an only child in Georgia by her father who was a high school teacher, and her mother who was a nurse at a local hospital. Loey has claimed that she lived in a haunted house, as at the age of two she talked to a dead man whom she referred to as The Colonel.

She was a bit overweight while attending elementary school, and after being bullied by her peers for this, Loey put herself on a strict diet which eventually led to her suffering from the eating disorder anorexia nervosa, which made her puke nearly all the food she would, eat and stop enjoying eating completely. After fighting anorexia for several months, Loey returned to eating a lot of food as she did in the past, and made peace with the fact that she might be bigger than other girls.
After Loey matriculated from a local high school in 2011, she enrolled at a college from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2015, thus becoming a nurse.
Loey launched her YouTube channel on 24 February 2013, and has since gathered over 2.1 million subscribers and more than 280 million views of all her videos combined. She tends to upload at least two videos each week, and two of her most popular are “Why Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Bikinis” which has been viewed over 14 million times since 15 May 2015, and “Why Men Hate Fat Women” which has been watched close to four million times since 15 June 2014. They broke up many times while dating for several years, before deciding to marry when Loey was 19 and Tyler was 21 – she then agreed to move with him to Kansas. It is widely believed that Tyler was abusive towards Loey because of her weight, and after he joined the Army, in 2016 she left their home, filed for divorce, and returned to her parents’ house – according to the rumors circulating the internet, she and Tayler haven’t met again since then.
